State just raised all ignition interlock fees by $30. Just a heads up as they NEVER sent out the letter they are telling the vendors they said they did. Just got socked for $120 instead of $90 this month.

Are you aware that Melanie's Mother is on the review board at PCCF ?,
Inmates requesting early Parole for time worked or good behavior have to go before her.
These inmates are serving time for DWI.
No wonder they are refused early Parole if they have to face her.

I don't think any law is flawless. Every lawyer in the world is trained to find some slight flaw in the law. I remember years ago, a man was stopped for possible DUI. he blew a 2.1 on the meter. He was arrested and brought to court. It was a slam/dunk for the prosecutor. The suspect hired a 1,200 an hour lawyer. Prosecutor began the narrative, the man was swirving in traffic, stopped and given the alcohol test, and it was 2.1, double the amount to be considered intoxicated. I want to enter the test results as evidence. Accepted into evidence. Defendants lawyer spoke next, said we know the result of this test was not accurate. When was the last time this meter was checked and calibrated? How old is this device? Have any of these meters been recalled? The policeman on the stand didn't know the answer to any of the questions. Lawyer continued "Does a change in outside temp affect the meter? Policeman did not know. Bottom Line: Meter evidence was 'thrown out. Policeman did not appear, but his report was available. The case was dismissed.

I totally think drinking and driving is a good thing. I think everyone should have a few drinks before getting behind the wheel.
