There's no way the above is correct. At least I hope it's not.
I just checked the salaries against the current Budget book and they are absolutely correct. And the Mayor wanted to add an other position (CFO) for over a hundred grand. Your tax dollars at work?

It's public information but good luck trying to obtain it.
Here's the mayors office which I think is a little steep.
The mayor makes $85,000.00
Chief of Staff $81,000.00
Constituent Services Director $52,549.00
Executive Assistant $44,613.00
Secretary $41,647.00
Constituent Services Aid (part time)$52,549.00
you have to request what each individual person's salary is in city services ect. Their salaries are one line item and should be broken down by name and salary of that person. Then you can see how much the mayors hacks make. Some make more than others./QUOTE]
The PART TIME "Constituent Services Aid" makes more the the full time executive Assistant?? What exactly IS a constituent Services Aid anyway and what friend or relative has that job???

There are actually two part-time Constituent Services aids and they split that amount in some fashion.

It makes no difference to the taxpayer whether it is split or not. TOO MANY POSITIONS in the mayors office and too many HACK positions. That's JUST the mayors office. Look at all the rest and their salaries.

Was just trying to answer part of the question posed in the prior post, not trying to justify any of that are salaries paid.

Times are tough,
if you want job stability, working for local government, you SHOULD pay for that stability by earning less money.

If you want big bucks,
fight it out in the private sector with the working class.

An across the board 10% pay cut for all Everett government employee's for FY2012 sounds about right!

Those that need extra money can work nights as temporary ICE agents, rounding up illegals for Mass Minimum wage.

Good plan?

New 'Top Down' strategy for local governments,
& throw the MBTA in there too.

Top Down strategy:

You get a budget,
like every household in Everett/America has.

You exceed that budget,
and the money comes off, from the top down.

Head Executive officer makes $300k a year,
you exceed the budget by $50k,
now the Chief Exec makes $250.

Miss by a Million,
and the Chief, Vice Chief, etc etc each make $0 till the shortfall if filled.

It might be tough till they LEARN TO OPERATE WITHIN A BUDGET,
but I guaran-freaking-tee that they WILL get it,
and WILL learn how to balance a budget.

And the 10% across the board payroll cut would greatly assist them stay within their budgets.

Good Plan?

It looks like Marcus is hallucinating agian he gotta get his brain checked. He wants to give the Mayor a raise for what?!! This idiot mayor has about every nook and cranny in our city in turmoil from adding unnecessary jobs to screwing the police/fire dept's This mayor has done nothing for me since he has been in office but raise my taxes and make me pissed of about him. Let him go back to making donuts.
If all you people in Everett think all the streets and sidewalks and other city programs are doing fine they are of no doing of his, It's called State Grants Funding for the Roads. Look at the parking meters when are they going to add meters on the City hall side of Church St? City Employees get a free ride.

I would guess if we could vote him out of office just think of all the money would be saved from the continious adding of jobs. Most town are cutting back in all departments. Not Everett.

One last statement : With the mayors continious spending and supporting the School department with millions each year just look at your tax bill in 2 years, many of you will not be able to pay it and then what. Someone has to shut him down and ONLY YOU CAN PUT OUT THIS FIRE.

Dimaria I wish I was a cop because you would of had a ticket going through a stop sign and almost hitting me. You never stopped at the stop sign on Liberty st. 3 weeks ago. Just like your administration you just keep going straight ahead costing us Taxpayers money money money better stop cause next time I get out of my car and ream you a new asshole

I hope you can read through the lines that YOU WILL NOT GET MY VOTE THIS TIME, PETER NAPOLOTANO WILL GET IT JUST SO YOU WILL NOT GOOD LUCK PETER
