Wow, Dan Bosley ought to be a standup comedian. I don't know when I've laughed longer and harder. I read that he claims to have done "an awful lot of research" on the casino question," and that he's done "more research" than anyone at the State House, and that's why he's opposed to casinos. I was wondering: is it the kind of "research" he did when he promoted the energy deregulation legislation? If so, that "research" ended up destroying competition in the Massachusetts energy industry and gave us the 4th highest electric rates in the nation. Or is the kind of "research" he did on the economic stimulus legislation that he proposed, the one that gave away tax breaks and tax cuts to big corporations who, since taking those tax cuts, have paid less in capital gains, pocketed millions in profits, and have laid-off thousands of Massachusetts residents? Or is it the kind of "research" he did on promoting the movie and film industry legislation, the one that gave tax cuts and tax breaks to companies to film in Massachusetts, but who then ended up spending about 80% of their spending in out-of-state firms, which the Mass DOR study said actually cost Bay State taxpayer monies and jobs. If that's the kind of "research" Bosley's done that's convinced him to oppose casinos, then bring on the casinos, because Bosley's obviously the George Costanza of the Massachusetts House of Representatives! Whatever he says, do the opposite!
