Dodd road is not even near Winter Park ... did they mean Winter Springs or Tuskawilla or did the Slantinel misplace its map once again?
Mr. Graziano was my neighbor, live in Autumn Glen Subdivision, it is off Dodd Road and is in unincorportated Winter Park, our address is Winter Park. As for these mean spirited comments about Tony and the driver, neither the family of Tony or the driver and her family will ever be the same whether or not anyone was at fault. Where is the decency that we as humans supposedly have.

Just out of curiosity, since people have said he rode all over the place,(so do I) did Tony make a habit of riding his bicycle the wrong way?

I'm not much younger than he was, but I was taught not to do that.

You obviously haven't read your Florida State Statues because if you had you would know bicycles are vehicles with the same rights and responsibilities as cars on the roads.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!

He made one little mistake and he's dead now! He didn't deserve that...you've all done stupid stuff that could've gotten you killed and if you had died would want people talking about how stupid you were? No.

I hope all of you jay walk at some point, as I'm sure idiots such as yourself do, and you're run over and mangled by a car...I obviously won't call you dumb in such a case because I'm not a heartless robot but thanks to people like you, you can guarantee there be some doucebag who will.

Sorry for your loss.

To be clear, there is no such thing as "unincorporated Winter Park." A location is either within the city limits, or it is outside the city entirely. There is no "half way."

Your location is unincorporated Seminole County. What you have is a Winter Park "mailing address." A mailing address is for the purpose of mail delivery. It is not instructive on actual geographical location.

Please consult the link I provided to the City of Winter Park city limit map if you are unclear about what city you do or do not live in. Further, you may consult your county property appraiser's website, which will clearly indicate your parcel's municipality as "unincorporated Seminole County." Another way of knowing whether you are a WP resident or not is to go and vote in a city election. Non residents (ie those living outside the city limit) are not permitted to vote in city elections.

FYI, the easternmost point that lies within the city is approximately the McDonalds fast food restaurant on Aloma Avenue/SR426.

Why do you care, many people's lives have been changed as a result of this accident and you are worried about the fact that it is not Winter Park. And to Shaune and the family who are also neighbors with Tony and his family, you are right, he was a wonderful man and we will all miss him. Razz--you need to worry about something of a little more importance, perhaps you may want to occupy your time with some nice/kind thoughts for both Tony's family but also for the young lady who hit him and her family rather than worrying if the paper got the address right.

I already offered my condolences.

Perhaps YOU should work on being more tolerant of other people. My pursuit of accuracy and truth from my local newspaper doesn't concern you in any way, unless you are the sloppy reporter, a negligent fact checker, or someone in deep denial about your location.

IF you knew this unfortunate victim, then it is understandable that you are distraught, however, your animus toward me and my desire to keep the facts straight is entirety misdirected. Perhaps you can put that energy into something positive - like the pursuit of truth and accuracy - rather than attacking people because you don't approve of their comments (truthful and accurate or not).

Have a great day!

No animus here, I guess that I am just a little miffed that when there was a tragedy such as this, you would be worried about such a seemingly trivial thing. And my comments were certainly not with animosity towards you, I think you are a bit bored and paranoid and could direct your energies in a better way.

I am very tolerant, I believe that you are the one with the tolerance problem and as far as denial as to my location on the map, I guess that I just figure there are more important things to worry about in today's world other than whether I am in unincorporated Winter Park, Seminole County or where. I will not respond to you any furthur as I feel that I am just encouraging your anger.

Razz--you are a very angry person. I don't think that there was any intentional misinformation. I am not sure that "live there" needs to work on anything, perhaps you should heed your own advise.

Thanks for your opinion, but I'm afraid I can't agree with you. I am tolerant of other people (but not of errors), my grasp of local geography is fairly decent, and I am in a great mood today.

This topic isn't about me, or who said this or that, it's about an incident that affected many peoples' lives. I corrected a factual error and offered proof when challenged by people who don't even know where they live. I'm sorry if this is troubling for you, personally, in some way, but I'm sure you'll get over it.

Thanks again for your personal opinion and have a great afternoon!!

I dont even like my kids walking on the sidewalk due to the non-driving abilities of most people. If you ride your bike on the roadways of central Florida, you are an idiot. It's dangerous enough driving in this place, let alone riding a bike or even walking for that matter.
So for all of you spandex wearing fools that gather all together, and try your luck with the road gods, good luck

Two words. ANGER MANAGMENT.
Don't worry about what others choose to do, take a deep breath, wait, and then pass when a safe opportunity opens up.
A little patience and tolerance could do wonders.
We all share the public roads.
Im so sorry I just dont feel like getting rear ended waiting for my opportunitie to go around.people walking down the road cause a hazzard too, not just on cycles.
