Hi Liz & JaneDear..I was going to post when Autumn's water broke and we knew the baby was coming, but I didn't think anyone would be on Chat this late.
It was amazing, I was worried the baby didn't survive because it came very quickly, didn't move for awhile and Autumn seemed so disinterested in it. But it appears to be healthy. Walter (the daddy) was in the stall next to Autumn, and he was pacing back and forth, just like a human daddy would do.It's so cute to watch the baby's little ears wiggling an it keeps trying to get up, then rolls back down on it's side.

Don't know if it's a boy or girl yet, or what the zoo personnel will name it, but I like the name "Raffi"! That would be a good name for a boy or girl.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying some nice weather.

Good Morning All

Race I was on my way to bed and I decided to look to see how Autumn was going. TY for posting the link. I never saw anything like that before. Other than that bubble thing hanging out her rear I would have never guessed Autumn was even in labor. It wasn't at all like I expected. There was just a gush of water and the baby just kind of came squirting out. I was worried too when it just sort of laid there motionless. I thought Autumn or the zoo keepers would have gone over and cleaned the baby up

I was worried about it too when it just laid there and at first I couldn't even tell which end was up...then it was just all legs lol.

Is the baby standing? I lost the camera feed last night...

I'll have to check it later.

Liz,
Most people dress nice for the football games here but not all out-
There is a group of 5 women that hang out together and sound just like the one lady you descibed who wears the designer duds.
They could probably fit a small child in their Louis Vuitton hand bags...

I hadn't heard about this case being solved~~
What a tragic loss.
She had no idea, she did not see this coming, jmo.
If anything she probably trusted this guy based on
their shared religion.
Did he ask for a ride as she started to get in her car to go to work?

Isn't that strange?
No worries, the have a team of experts in veternary medicine
on stand-by. They'll know just what to do.
Baby giraffes are cute but I still like baby elephants the
best.

I just knew that damned giraffe would give birth long after I went to bed. But the baby is adorable. I like baby elephants. At the Portland zoo we had the first baby born in captivity in years. And it was years and years ago when I was in grade school. Rosie was the mom, and Thonglaw the dad.

Good Morning All

I just checked on the baby. Every time the baby went in Autumn's stall Autumn walked out. Maybe Walter needs to start lending a hand.

Men are just useless when it comes to helping out with the babies( or much else for that matter).

[email protected] child in their LV bag. Sounds like how this lady use to dress. You have nicer weather there. here it's usually cold and rainy plus not of the stadiums are that clean. I don't even like to put my purse down there so I usually just bring a totebag that I don't care about.
Even the lady's boy has top of the line everything. He was the only one showing up to freshman football who had a visor for his helmet, then of course Noah was bugging me for one, I was against it because none of the other boy's had one plus it's not the NFL and I couldn't see a need for one. Long story short he suckered his Dad into it.

Last week I was happy for her son. I was feeling bad for him. He's the kicker for the team and Noah does the punting. Both are great in practice but they both choke at times ubder pressure during the games. Her son misses more field goals than he makes but at the last game for the final chance at a field goal he had a amazing kick. He had a big grin and was so proud of himself.
