And the state and county are crying about losing tax dollars. No wonder. Get rid of this guy and lower the salary.

The Main Office Rent is ~$500,000 rent per year at the Sun Trust building. You could have a building paid for in a few years for the amount of money we are paying in rent. Also, take a look at the website It speaks for its self. We need a change, please take a look at the other people running in the primary and vote this August. I think we can do better.

I've wasted a lot of time in line at the tax office because the out moded system under Earl K. Wood is still in place since the 60ties. We need a modern business man to run this office not a part-time 92 year old guy who needs VELCRO on his back to hold him in his office chair so he don't fall over. I'm only 69 and I know I could not handle that job!

I vote for Earl K. Wood because he's done a great job. I'll exercise my right to vote every election. Just like I'll exercise my right not to vote for Obama. Keep your critiques to yourself. Woods has been a great public servant, institution or not.

Jim Martin is an honest public servant, and the community is getting their monies worth. Have you seen the beautiful I-4, 408 interchange, thank you Jim Martin for keeping every single business and person will informed during this extensive transformation of this very important downtown interchange. Jim Martin has always been available to make project progress presentations to any group which has requested one. Jim Martin has walk the neighborhood and personally placed door hangers in an effort to inform the community about any impending inconvenience caused by the down town road projects. Still finding time to represent the concerns of the parents and students of the school district which he represents. It seems as if Jim Martin is putting in a 8o-hrs. week evident in all that he does for the public which serves. One the other hand, for 20-hrs. or so from "home" as Earl has stated, Mr Wood receives over a quarter million of orange county tax payer dollars a year. Thank for your service all these years Mr. Wood, but it is time to go. The Tax Collectors job requires a person with the vigor and energy to give the Tax payers their monies worth, and that would be a full time Tax Collector. And Jim Martin has a proven track record to show that he is up to the task.

People like to complain about having to wait in lines at the tag offices, but you tell me where you can go now a days and not wait. This office is taking on more work by helping the state out with the driver's licenses. I believe this office is one of the best. EKW you have my vote.

It is time for EKW to go. Retire completely and let someone with ambition and drive get in there and update this position. I can't believe an individual can admit to working only 25 hours a week, and via phone to boot, and still get paid. Not only do we need a new tax collector we need to change the rules. If you can't even get to the office you are fired.
And don't forget he draws another $80,000 from a pension.

Let's put Jean Ruiz-Sandor in the Tax Collector's office and update it.

Who can blame EW. People keep re-electing him so why shouldn't he keep running. Ms.Sandor seems like a nice-enough lady but the people don't care. Earl will prevail.
