Somethings not adding up here! I think we're going to be hearing more about this story. Somethings not right - why was he targeted and yet his friends are not even so much as bumped or bruised by the sounds of things.
Some deeper investigating will get to the bottom, I'm sure.
Thoughts and prayers to this young mans family and friends.

I thought the exact same thing. I think the robbery might be a coverup sroty for somehting else. The robbers kill one person and let 2 watch them and do nothing to keep them from telling? That story seems a little off.

I think we'll find out drugs or something were involved here......
Very rarely do you hear someone say "I knew he'd murder someone someday" or "he was a horrible person and there are many people out there who would want him dead". They always say "He was such a nice man", "he kept to himself, never bothered anyone" "he was nice, always waved..."
when a horrible crime like this is committed.

You know what? The story behind all of this doesn't even matter...whether there were drugs involved or not a 19 year old boy did NOT deserve to be shot and killed! And personally it's nobody's business except the family's and friends. Everyone needs to mind their own business and pray that the killers are caught and the family can have some peace.

Robert will always be remembered for his loving heart. He was a wonderful person. He put others before himself and will be remembered for the good things that he did. I wish that all the posters on this website would just pray for his family and friends and remember that he was only 19 and regaurdless of the situation he did not deserve to leave us so soon.

Pissed OFF, If he had not "chose" to DUI, he would not have become a topic of the public domane, thus, people could have "minded there own buisness". When he DUIed, he made it there buisness. DUI effects every one he came in close proxcimity to, plus there family and friends also. So get off your high horse and get real. DUI effects everyone.

So does other "activities" of another nature "if" he was involved in them also.

How dare you read so few of the facts and jump to conclusions about Robert, especially in a public forum and so soon after his death.

Robert was a genuinely compassionate boy. We were co-workers last year at Publix and shared some of the same close friends from high school. He was a loyal boyfriend, a hard-working employee and a sympathetic friend.

His death is a tragedy, period.

I really can't believe this. I went to school with Robert. Mrs. Cameron was my math teacher. He would come in during class and talk with his mom. And her mother was the principal of my elementary school. Things like this shouldn't happen. When people make mistakes it effects many lives.

I am this boy's immediate family and I had to bury him today with my family and watch my poor grandparents loose thier mind over this lose, He was a very loved and I really hate that all of you have nothing better to do with your time then to post your little comments of "what really happened" It doesn't matter Robert paid for it all with his life and nothing is worth that. Please stop with your aqusations and let us grieve and let my beautiful cousin rest in peace.

Just a comment that would go for anyone reading these forums, but addressed to mad family member: if you don't like open conversations about someone you say you care about, 1. tell them not to do bad things that might bring them under the public eye. 2. Quit reading forums about family members. 3.Stop the media from reporting about people. 4.Just write it all off as human nature, and move on. No personal feelings about any of it, just a thought.

I just can't believe you don't understand how hurtful you are being. You have a right to do whatever you want, but have a little compasion. I don't think you understand that Robert was the victim here. You do NOT know the story at ALL, you are simply jumping to conclusions. Robert's DUI has absolutely nothing to do with this. I think YOU need to get off your high horse. Bottom line is you don't know ANYTHING about the situation or ANYTHING about Robert. It is sad to me that people can't simply stop judging others at a time like this and just send your love to Robert's family and friends. I am just so disappointed right now. For those of us that know Robert, we know how wonderful he was, and we don't need people like this to upset us. RIP Robert- we will love you forever.

My comments are based on words that appear on printed pages in the news articals and forum, I never once said I ever knew Robert nor have I accused him of anything. You are only upset because you wish to be, not because of anything I have said. The term victim only pertains to someone who has something bad happen to them who has done absolutly nothing to cause any action upon them selves from there own actions. That may or may not be the case, there for, I cannot call him a victim because I do not know him, I guess that will be left to others to determin. This comment is not with any purpose of upsetting anyone, but for clairifacations of comments from others. Thank you.

Are you more ignorant than a rock? A victim is someone who is a subject of any violation. Whether or not his actions "provoked" such an incident is not the question. Whether he said bad things about your mother or pulled a gun on the president, it simply is irrelevant. Your words may not be the source of anger by alot of readers, but your words definitely trigger many feelings.

Also, wtf is up with the DUI? it has no relevance what so ever. It happened LAST year!!! Also, what is your deal that you must be so egotistical that you cannot simply show some sympathy? Are you not the slightest bit a human as well? Have you not done anything in your life that provoked something you did not want to happen? I think we are all victims here. We lost a young man to a tragic and heinous accident.

Life is short, and above all, it does not matter the circumstance but the life that was ended so abruptly. You should be grateful for the 2 feet you walk on, the sun that brightens your day and happy that you can sit down and enjoy a meal.
