Having been born and raised in Winter Garden I take extreme exception to several of the comments that I have read on this forum. I have also had the pleasure of reading some of the positively focused approaches to the real problems that do exist. Some of the individuals that have had their characters assassinated by the people on this board are personal friends of mine and I have had personal experiences watching their generosity and selflessness over the years I have known them. I have also witnessed the arrogance of several of their adversaries on this board. To me, people that are willing to look down on others with contempt are guilty of a far larger crime than those that might say....meet for breakfast and discuss making their city a better place. For your information, I would take a city full of "rednecks" before I would tolerate 20 pompous (fill in your own description here). In my experience rednecks contribute significantly more to others than the type of people who look down on them. They are some of the finest people in the world.

Face facts redneck, your "good 'ol boys" have ripped off tax payers (see the Winter Garden Theater, Downtown, and City Hall cost), given zoning favors to friends (read the minutes and conect the dots) and simply made (or kept) winter garden a racist, run down, corrupt city.

Such class...and great spelling to boot!!! It would be nice if you simply spelled intelligent correctly. Being open-minded does not necessarily imply intelligence. I really don't have to make that case...you did it for me. I've always heard that open-minded people are accepting of others and spurn hatred. Are you sure you are one of them? By the way, I don't think that any one of your items of "waste" would meet that standard in my mind...and apparently the majority of the voter's either. Look...I said all of that with love in my heart and didn't imply one thing about your lineage or use a single implied curse word!
