Death is permanent for all concerned. I can't imagine what would make him go to the other vehicle unless he was wanting to commit the unthinkable.

They dont need to be on the road unless they have tags and the driver has a license. They are nothing but a drunks way to get around. I am surprised more are not in wrecks.

maybe he was drunk. i'd like to know in which lane the accident occurred. i was going around a curve doing about 40 today out in the country when a car was flying around the curve from the other direction 3 ft in my lane. he was doing about 65-70 & was a good 2ft in my lane. i was afraid he was going to skid into me w/his back end.

Some people with seizure disorder use these for their means of transportation to and from work.

Who are you all to judge? This was a relative of mine. Maybe you should think before you anonymously post your judgements and condemnations of people you do not even know. RIP Larry-we love you!

IF they have lost their license because it is Unsafe for them to drive a car, they certainly don't need to be driving a Moped either. Anyhow, these things should have to be Insured to be on the streets and Hwys. Just like all of the rest of the Motorized Vehicles.

God's Garden

God looked around his garden and he found an empty place,
He then looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
God's Garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, He knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw that the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb,
So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered
"PEACE BE THINE".
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone,
For parts of us went with you the day God called you home

Who is going to pay for the damages to his truck. These things should be required to carry insurance. Oh, I know who will pay for it he will or his insurance will which means we all pay for it. Sorry the man is dead but people should be made to be accountable for their actions. If I die in a accident tomorrow my insurance will pay for what I messed up, the people who drive the mopeds have no worries on the road.

To the person above that said that a moped is just a way for a drunk to get around. Well you sir are just a bigot. I ride a 1000cc motorcycle and just because I have a license and tags doesn't mean that I am any different than the man that got killed. I know that people don't see bikes. They are usually texting or talking on their phones. EVERYTIME I ride my motorcycle some idiot almost hits me. So maybe people should stop texting and start looking out for other vehicles on the road.
And to the bigot who posted above about only drunks ride mopeds. The 1950's called they miss you.

Wait. What? You mean that someone with epilepsy is out on the road operating a vehicle? And you're alluding that because they can't get a driver's license, specifically because of their seizure disorder, regardless of their disorder, they're allowed to operate a motor vehicle?

Are you saying Smith was an epileptic and had a seizure?

I ride a motorcycle and pay taxes and tags and license. Why should the beer mobiles be any different?. Just another way to get around the system. As far as being a bigon ,no I'm a person who pays my way and you should be no different.

That is not judging someone? It was a tragic accident, we had recently lost another family member and the family is reeling from both of the losses. Does it really matter what lane he was in? Life is too short, hug your loved ones today and let them know that you love them.

Why no..It appeared to be more of a question..Don't take your anger or sadness out on someone that has done nothing but ask a legitimate question. Sorry for your losses. If what is said on these boards upsets you so much, maybe you should not read them..Now don't take this as me telling you that you can't be here, that is NOT my intent at all. These boards can get rough sometimes. But this person doesn't appear to be a mean person. It is just how the post struck you I think.
