I'm so sorry it's closed. But not surprised with our local government constantly raising taxes. I warned of this BEFORE THE LIBRARY TAX WAS brought to a vote. High taxes always drive business away in the bad economy we have in the nation today.

No, no, wrote on Topix , the people's forum, of the danger of higher taxes, wrote letter, talked to people. No money for ads, sadly. Vote NO on any increased taxes. Government needs to become smaller and let wage earners keep more of their money.

Talked to someone who is in touch with winn parish, and was told that the closing of brown bag may have something to do with mr coles death. makes sense to me. The owners did NOT own the building, just renting, they had the merchandise, not real estate.

No the store did not close because of higher taxes, nor because of Mr. Cole's passing. If Joe did not tell you his reason, then respect the fact that he did not choose to share personal details with you and let it go. He doesn't need the added stress of this thread right now. Please respect people's right to keep some things private.

I agree! How empty are people's lives that live and hate on Topix.

Why do you think, Joe(?) whom I don't even know would "share personal
details" with me? Why might you think, I, as a customer would not have an interest in why the store is now closed and I need to find another place to shop? The closure does affect me, after all. If "Joe" is stressed by people wanting to know about the store closure, I'm sure he knows how to turn off his computer, don't you agree?. I can't believe he would check TOPIX moment by moment to get stressed!!! You need to respect his former customers right to be concerned and know that "Joe" can keep some things "private", but the closure of a business is not so private... he did have some customers.

Is your life so very empty that you are posting on TOPIX? Where does the "hate" you speak of come in. Which post on here speaks of hate, except one lone post ....post #10?

The post that mentioned him did not put him down in any way. They had just heard that the store closing was because of his passing. Wrong information but not a put down. Due to the timing I can see how that rumor could start. But again, it's just a rumor with no truth at all to it.
