Your the one that is lying! They bought the Kaye's chain and will be closing the whole month of November to completely redo the store. They hope to have it back open by Dec. 1st.

This will probably put Mac's Fresh Market in Winnfield out of business. They had better step up their game and get the Winnfield store to the same standard as the other Mac's around Louisiana.

Last I heard on this happening is that Brookshire's want's to buy Family Dollar. They want to make a big grocery store. It would take more than a month to clean both of these stores. I have no problem with more business coming to town. I hope that if they do buy kaye's and family dollar that it will be a cleaner and nicer place to shop. The parking lot needs to be fixed also. I don't know if the store's pay rent or how it's done, but i would like to see the parking lot worked on.

I hate to see Kays go, but I am glad to have a good store like Brookshires come to Winnfield. The Brookshires I have shopped in before were a bit pricey but had really good food. Great varity.
As far as the parking lot, it needs repair bad. It seems that a lot of businesses here have really bad parking lots. Freds, Dollar General, Wal-Mart. They must have all used the same Parking Lot guy.

I have worked at Brookshire's in Tyler, Tx. It was well run and managed. I hope and pray the store here is run just as well.

Old Lady said DECEMBER 3rd, not November. Why are you so upset about this? It's not like Brookshires will shut down your beloved wal-mart.

I think we know where we need to look if Brookshires gets vandalized before it's grand opening. I predict that soon AFTER it opens, someone will go in and "accidentally" knock over a bunch of messy stuff like eggs, sugar and syrup, and then quickly exit the store muttering "wal-mart forever wal-mart forever wal-mart forever".

Do you think the powers that be in winnfield will allow someone to sell the evils of beer and wine in a grocery store? I mean, it is a personal choice, but the powers that be think they run YOUR and MY life, but who knows, we may be surprised and get what we want.

They can't deny a license inside the city because walmart already sells it and they are inside the city.
