I think it was fine for you to give the information on ronnie's death, but did you have to add that about his drinking. Where were you when he was in viet nam risking his life in that useless war that the u. s. did nor try to win. Just make a bunch of politicians lined their pockets at the expense of soldiers an taxpayers. Were you over there fighting or hanging out at home.

There were a lot of men and women that went to South East Asia and served their country back then and most didn't come home and become winos. It's not the wars fault he drank himself to death it's his. He had choices and that is what he chose to do.

Agree with you....I would like to add something also. Several years ago Ronnie went to that Church by the Mini Park one Wedesday night. I know the EXACT day/month/year. He was clapping and saying Praise the Lord (worshipping the Lord)The preacher pointed to some men in the church to go escort him out. made him leave. That will stay with me for the rest of my life I will NEVER forget that. I would like to believe, Jesus took Ronnie somewhere very special until his return. He went to the house of God that night and only wanted to worship and praise him....just to be ordered out. I wonder...Jesus must have cried that night.

You make it sound like he was an angel and was there strictly to worship when in fact he was intoxicated and was being disruptive. He wasn't just saying the occasional "amen" or "praise GOD". They should have taken him to the pastors office and as soon as the service was over the pastor could have talked to and counseled him. But he had some blame here also not just the church members. It's a very sad thing about Mr. Collins and his drinking but you can't come into the Lord's House drunk and being disruptive and expect those there worshiping GOD with respect not to be upset with you.

Whatever his state of mind was. He knew where he needed to be to get the help he needed, but instead where others bring their burdens it is accepted. His was know different. The bible says come as you are. That means bring all your troubles to him. Instead he was turned away from the place that could help him, better than a hospital. This church sounds like a bunch of hypocrites, and the very reason why people don't come to church. A person can judge another it is only God who can judge. No earthly person has a heaven or hell they can put you in. He knew his troubles and went to the place he thought he could help and was turned away. Have mercy!!

You didn't know Ronnie very well. He would come in any place in town just to disrupt and cause trouble. sometimes just to be arrested if it was hot or really cold out. I bet if a group of smelly, drunk hobos came into your church hollering and being disruptive you wouldn't see this the same way.

After all that have been said, and you still don't see the picture of him reaching out for help.

Old Lady's post made me feel like crying. I didn't know this man, but it sounds like he had it rough, but did what he needed to do. He sought help. So he was a loud mess. He needed help to not be that way anymore. Mere encouragement from the people there could have done wonders for him.

Winnfield PD, pointing out that he would purposely get arrested to get out of the heat and cold does not help you make your case against him. It makes you look uncaring and makes me feel even worse for this man.

I HATE when people think it's alright to be as shitty to people as you want, just as long as you go to church three times a week.

Like I said before you didn't know him very well. He got a check from the government every month and made enough that he DID NOT HAVE TO LIVE ON THE STREET! He CHOSE to spend his money on booze instead! There is nothing wrong for feeling bad for somebody that is down on their luck and trying to give them a hand up but there are some people that don't want your pity and there are some that truly don't need it. Although you insist on defending them when they don't want it or need it. He lived EXACTLY how he wanted and he could have changed his status anytime he wished.

Maybe staying DRUNK was his way of dealing with what he had been through!! I really hope that whether truth or not, a CHURCH did not throw him out... I hope they extended their welcome to him.. & gave it their all o help him.. Just remmber that no one is perfect!! BUT I guess the MOST important question is.... If this guy is deceased, why in the hell are people on this site talking about him??? Get a damn life & dont worry about the deceased... Worry about yourself!!!! I just PRAY this man doesnt have children to reas this!!

I know who someone was, and how he chose to live. That was HIS choice. There are those who gave a damn who are reading this.

My God!!! What is wrong with you people? The man is deceased. Why would you want to start a topic on this man? He is not here to defend hissef. If the Church turned him away, Shame on them. And the Lord will and probably has delt with them. But you are not any better to get on here and bash this man like you are doing. We all make mistakes in our lifetime. And you know what? We have to pay for those mistakes ourself. Have a heart!

How is the truth "bashing" him? Everyone in town knows this was the truth and I don't understand how stating that is "bashing" him. If somebody was caught committing a crime and we were to talk about them doing that would that also be "bashing" them? Please explain what constitutes "bashing".
