Coming back to town to visit family on the 4th of July. Want to get some good, smokey, tender BBQ chicken & ribs. Don't want to drive to Grayson's either. Used to get fantastic BBQ years ago from an old Black man near the L&A Quarters who cooked in his front yard.(No insult intended). Guess he has passed. Any place in Winnfield like that now?

I've never had Uncle Joe's BBQ, but I've heard good things. It's right down the street from Brenda's Chicken on Highway 167 South.

Tell me a bit about it. Restaurant or just a smoker by the road? You get around Winnfield quite a bit? Any place serve oxtails or chitlins? Thanks for the tips.

I have eaten at Uncle Joes and it is very good. I have never gotten anything bad from there. It is only a little building where they cook, no place to sit and eat.

Wouldn't know anything about oxtail or chitlins. I don't eat that kind of thing.

Uncle Joe's food is pretty good, and I love chitlins. Oxtails I have never tried. I don't eat anyone's chitlin's because if they are not very , very clean....you are eating Shitlin's....

I like oxtails and pintos. You might try Sunset's Ribs an' Hoes over in L & A Quarters.

Grayson's is old news. The chipped beef on bun is good, I will admit to that. The plates leave something to be desired.

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Scorpio

Someone needs some advice today and you're just the person to give it. Wait to be asked, though! You'll be able to draw on your experiences of life, and you might also throw in some spiritual guidance for good measure. If you have some spare time you'll enjoy immersing yourself in a thought-provoking book and then discussing it with someone who's on your wavelength.
