I think city police officer Pedro Reynoza should run for chief of police. He is great with the community and alot of people like.

i agree with spartan i dont see the white folk rebuilding new orleans it is mostly mexicans trying to rebuild new orleans and they are the ones working construction because nobody else wants to and mexicans dont compalin much because they are tryin to make a living for their family, because other people are to lazy go and do to work and then they want to complain that they cant get a job when. they didnt even want it to begin with. So go sit on your fat ass and think about what you wrote. Minority do keep america running now a days

Mexicans are the ones doing the manual work of rebuilding New Orleans because they are cheap labor. The ultimate basis of your argument is that Mexicans are great because they drive down wages. I can see why the unethical building contractors would think that way, since it maximizes their profits, but it's not good for working Americans.

Also, the people who are actually paying for the rebuilding and who are designing those new buildings and running the businesses that will be located in them are generally not Mexicans.

Just sit back and watch there will be a mexican as president for the united states one day and when that happens i will come back and say i told u so.

If current demographic trends continue, there will certainly be a "Mexican" president of the United States within a few decades. That it will happen does not mean it is a good thing.

As for the Mexicans running the businesses, I find that hard to believe. Even in Mexico the businesses are run by the white Mexicans, rather than the Amerind and mestizo Mexicans who make up the bulk of the Mexican underclass and the bulk of Mexican immigrants to the United States.

Agree! And I don't know if the whole discussion about Pedro is legit or just a joke, but my son went went to high school with him and I know that he is a good guy!

Then he could get a lawsuit going like your maw & paw has got. We from the old school don't go for tort lawsuits. fix our damages and we will set you free.

Those same Mexicans that are re=building NOL are the reason we have such low minium wage requirements. now the government thinks we can all live on minimum wage and descent white people dont live like Mexicans. Why pack 3 or 4 families under one roof ? I dont know bout yall but living like a mexican is out of my class and comfort ranges all together. Who wants to live like that ? And I could never see a mexican as president.

The Mexican deal is all about our government taking our hard earned dollar and giving it to them by way of health care, retirement and education while our heirs receive nothing for our labors. There is something wrong with that picture. If they come here and work...give them a visa and then send them back for their country to take care of...let them pay bills with cold hard cash just like some of us do. We have more dead head americans and politicians now to support then we...the working class...can afford.

We should also consider what things will be like 30 years from now when younger Americans are overwhelmingly hispanic and older Americans are overwhelmingly white. Do you think they will resist the temptation to gut Social Security so they can increase funding of programs aimed at helping younger people? Why should these Mexicans "who did the work that Americans wouldn't do" support a bunch of old white people?

I know damn mexicans think they can do everything. They need to go back to mexico were they belong since they cant even speak englsh
