Double Dipping Politicians

The senator that Chris Nevils requested to introduce legislation to take more freedoms away from our state's citizens has been caught with his hand in the cookie jar, or more precisely, with his hand in the pockets of us, the taxpayers.
Sen Rick Gullot , at Chris Nevils request prefiled a bill to prohibit sale of Ecigarets to people under age 18.
After double dipping in the amount of $3,189, Gallot apparently lied about pocketing the money. His statement that he repaid it was not borne out by filings with the state. http://www.nola.com/politics/index.ssf/2014/0...

As far back as 2009 Rep. Gullot had ethics allegations issues. It helps though to get all points dismissed if you are a friend of Governor Jindal and help change ethics law and remove power from the Ethics Board.

Most politicians have criminal minds . Thugs in suits.

Even so, look at the praise Gullot gets.
He was recognized by Lexis/Nexis Martindale-Hubbell for Very High Legal Ability and Ethical Standards. He received the Lincoln Parish Outstanding Young Person's Award from the Ruston Jaycees and was recognized by the Shreveport Times as one of the 10 Leaders of the New Century in Northwest Louisiana. He was also inducted into the Grambling State University Alumni Hall of Fame as well as the Southern Law School Hall of Fame and is a member of the Lincoln Rotary.
Isn't this reminiscent of all the praise and "awards" Chris Nevils received after his drunk driving, breaking his OATH OF OFFICE, hit and run escapade in our car? The La. District Attorneys Association elected him as a member of the LDAA Board of Directors.
If that was not enough disrespect of the voters and taxpayers, he received a special award for what they called his leadership in DWI curtailment efforts. Some leadership!
Where are the morals of people?

What are parents teaching their children about morals? Actions speak louder than words. What respect are public servants who break the law, break their oath of office, betray the people who elected them, teaching their children about the office they hold? What are they doing for America's future?, For the next generation?, For eternity?
I'm sure, Jesus Christ does not recognize accolades of man , no matter how many or how often they are bestowed as a cover for wrongdoing. We all have this promise:
Isaiah 55:6-13 (King James Version)
6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

The bill Chris Nevils asked Sen Gullot to introduce outlawing sales of e-cigarette, vaporizers and other alternative nicotine products to minors passed. Now awaiting signature of the governor.
Why did Chris Nevils want to take away more freedom of the citizens of our state?
Why doesn't he recognize parents responsibility for the choices they want their offspring to have?
Why doesn't he recognize that making sales of E cigarets to individuals up to age 18 doesn't insure the non use of them by individuals anymore than making drinking while driving illegal prevent adults from doing so, as he has so well demonstrated?
Why did not Nevils KNOW THAT some health groups see no danger in Ecigarets.?
In contrast to cigarets, E cigarets contain no harmful tar or many chemicals that cigarets contain.
When are people going to get enough of politicians sticking their noses into private lives and personal choices?

Guess not! Just found that today our Congressional Representative, Vance McAllister
voted 'YES" FOR HR3361 , The so-called- "Freedom Act".
As originally drafted a vote in favor would have helped to uphold the Constitution, but the bill was REVISED behind closed doors. The revised bill that the house voted on today was so weakened that it gives government , without probable cause , the go-ahead to order telephone companies to turn over to the government records of "blocks" of calls. An example the government may ask for all calls in a certain area code(s), or a particular geographic area as "west of the Mississippi" or any area they want. All is in violation of our 4th amendment rights.
Vance McAllister voted to give this unconstitutional authority to the government.
Further, Vance McAllister, in voting for this revised bill , today,
gave an extension to allow Sec 501 of the Patriot Act to continue until 2017 when it was going to expire in June 2015.
This section gives gov't clearance to obtain certain business records and prohibits disclosure to anyone (other than those required to obtain records) that the records have been obtained or sought.(There is much more, of course)
Vance McAllister our elected representative voted to violate the constitutional freedoms of the 4th Amendment of all in his congressional district as well as all Americans. Shame on you, Rep. McAllister.
