How do you feel that on September the 11th our Ambassador is killed. We have done so much for the Libyan people. How could they do this. They were insulted by a low budget film that was broadcast on YouTube. If they are that easy to insult can there be any hope for peace in that country? What do you all think?

How long do you think it will be before the politicians turn from
"The world must stand together to unequivocally reject these acts" and “America's commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation. But let me be clear. There is no justification for this. None.” to basically apologizing for the fact that we have a constitution that, for the time being, allows us to express ourselves in the form of things like movies that demonstrate how we feel about something, and how sorry we are that they watched something that couldn't be made in muslim countries but can be made here, for the time being, and got mad. Maybe the politicians could even say something like "Even though you knew before you watched it that it would make you feel rage, but chose to watch it anyway; decided that you WANTED to be offended, it's still all our fault that time and time again you've gotten mad and decided to express YOURSELVES by destroying government buildings and murdering people. All our fault. Always is."

The part of following statement that starts with "rejected" and ends with "people" (it's in the second paragraph) is just UNTRUE, and the Egyptian Prime Minister calling for Washington to make the filmmakers pay makes my blood boil. It looks like he's saying "see if there is anything you can charge them with under American law and if there isn't, we'll see about getting them under some international law for stirring strife". You'll see what I'm talking about at the end of the passage below. You can read the whole article here http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/09/12/us-...
----------
Egypt, Prime Minister Hisham Kandil condemned violence while calling on Washington to act against the film's makers.

"What happened at the U.S. embassy in Cairo is regrettable and rejected by all Egyptian people and cannot be justified, especially if we consider that the people that produced this low film have no relation to the (U.S.) government," he said.

"We ask the American government to take a firm position towards this film's producers within the framework of international charters that criminalise acts that stir strife on the basis of race, color or religion."
----------

WHAT?! This isn't saying charge someone for something they did (not that the filmmakers did anything wrong, under American law, for the time being), but charge someone for how OTHERS REACTED to something they did. By this logic, any time someone does something the muslims don't like, all they have to do is rise up, destroy government buildings, and murder people; and the person they're angry with will be charged for doing whatever it was they did that made the muslims mad. Since they've done this whole destroy-government-buildings-a nd-murder-people thing before (it seems to be their thing) and, as far as I know, no one has ever been charged for doing the things that have set them to marauding, I feel SOMEWHAT hopeful that the people behind this film and the excerpt of it being put on youtube won't get in any kind of legal trouble. I do worry about their safety, though. Remember that Danish cartoonist?

I'm sorry for the long post.

A couple of more things, though. I was reading earlier about this ambassador named Christopher Stevens. This man gave most of his adult life trying to help the people of the middle-east. Look how they repaid him. I wonder if any of them knew who he was among the people they were attacking? Now they're saying these attack may have been planned. I haven't read any of those articles yet, just the headlines so I don't know if they meant quickly planned after whoeveritwas (I can't find it again) saw to it that a bunch of people saw the youtube video. I read somewhere earlier that it had been around since maybe July, or maybe that was the movie itself. I can't find that again, either. It could be that it's been around since then but whoeverhewas just found it, or it could be that that this was a September 11 thing, or both.

I found this about another diplomat, named Sean Smith, who was one of the people killed. This was something heartwarming among all the things that make your blood boil.

Thanks for sharing this with us. We need to remember they were husbands, fathers and sons. We sent our best to libya (no caps for these muderers). Lower case letters will do for them.

When I have on the TV and something offensive comes on I turn the channel or turn it off. If something is offensive on the radio I change the station. The libyians only love war and thinking up ways to get offended enough to kill someone. I try to be politically polite and respectful of other religions and people but by God it is hard today.

Yes, computers do act up. I've posted several things twice, thinking they didn't get posted the first time.

I hope this isn't true. I haven't heard about this but I don't want to type those words into a search and I certainly don't want to go to leftwingidiotsrus.com to look for the story.
