Kelly Lawrence of WINNFIELD, LA,,formerly was with the WPSD. I believe that now is is a probation officer. As far as whether he is a good guy or not depends on who you ask.
Now, a question for you. WHY are asking these questions?

I am curious. Why are you on the defensive? I mean no harm. I would like to know what the community of Winnfield think. Is he a good honest man or would he cut corners.. is he corrupt?? Or is he by the book!

He's a good man: honest, capable, and a by-the-book Cop. If you follow the rules you're OK. If not you're screwed.

He would make Winn Parish a good Sheriff. We need a younger man like him to bring Winn Parish into the future. No more old guys with old ideas and ways.

Thank you. That's all I wanted to know. Heard he is taking a chief of police job in a small town in Texas. I am glad to know they will get a decent man. The town doesn't need another corrupt one like they had.

They will be lucky to get Kelly! I've known him since he was in high school. I also worked with him several years ago. He's a good man. He has a great personality, he's fair, and he knows his stuff.

Well then tell him to read this...
The city of Tatum Tx.. is corrupt! The mayor is corrupt. They dictate who gets tickets and who doesn't. there are NO DWI'S.. there are no arrests for No insurance or No driver's licenses.
Tell him do his home work. It is a political little town and if he doesn't "play" well.. he will be OUT as quick as he came in.. now is ALL that worth 15.00 an hour???
They just fired their interim chief after five years of service with NO PROOF .. NO write ups... NOTHING... and what did the town inherit?
A lawsuit..
If you know this man... encourage him to do his homework on the crooks he is considering to work for...
Good night.

Not a fan of lazy, unprofessional law enforcement officers, and Winnfield is a breeding ground for them. A few good ones over the years, yeah, but very few.

Boy you are right about that! The good never stay more than about 5 to 10 years. I guess that is about how long it takes them to get fed up with doing all the work themselves. If they retire that should tell you something.
