I can't believe people like Michael are so willing to give up a right to feel "more secure."

“Anyone who trades liberty for security deserves neither liberty nor security”~Benjamin Franklin

When the Government comes knocking at your door without a warrant or becomes a tyrant what’s to stop them?

Free Speech? It will be gone by then or limited....what are you going to do? Stand in the streets and cry?

I don't get Americans.....so you don't believe in owning a gun...so don't......but don't take away my right to own one.

And when Michael said he thinks it was a "mistake" that the Supreme Court ruled like it did about the Second Amendment...well how about these quotes:

"The constitutions of most of our states (and of the United States) assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed; that they are entitled to freedom of person, freedom of religion, freedom of property and freedom of the press." ~Thomas Jefferson

Or how about:

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -Thomas Jefferson

So, I guess he was just referring to "sporting" type guns...or maybe just the militia....even though he says "the people"......

I know the old argument that we cannot take on our military but the fact is a lot will not listen to such orders and there are 90 million gun owners (that the Government is aware of).

Can you imagine having thousands of small arms fire, 50 cal sniper rifles, AK's, AR-15's shooting at you when you walk into a neighborhood?

Yea, trust me, it still makes a difference that we are armed.

Not to mention the whole reason Japan never invaded was because of the fact a lot of Americans are armed....

"I would never invade the United States, there would be a gun behind every blade of grass." ~Isoroku Yamamoto,Fleet Admiral

So please Michael, before you are so willing to give up your rights to the almighty Government, consider what you are doing and consider HISTORY.

Tyranny will happen again in America, it's just how people are.....and we must be armed to fix it.

Read your history, educate yourself, please.

Easy solution when u see a department of revenue van commit a traffic violation just pull them over and remind them of the violation they committed and what the penalty is for it. We are all pretty much on the same team. If everyone remembers that we should have no problems.
