Isn't that why we elect these politicians in the first place? To sit around and dream up new things to tax us for? I switched to using my own bags about 3 years ago and I like the change. Why? Because there is a lot less clutter and bags to throw away. Also the reusable eco-bags are made better and are stiffer. Moisture doesn't soak through them.

Also, some stores give you a discount on each personally owned bag you use. It's not much, but it adds up. All of the bags I purchased (5), paid for themselves within a month.
