DPS trooper to retire after 25-plus years

Congratulations Mr. Witaker! Actually he is retiring in 7 days after 31 years of service! He told me himself on Sunday when he responded to an accident. So, congrads and hope you have a wonderful retirement, you deserve it!

great job hope you enjoy your retirement and travel to see many great places if it's in your plans stay well......but better one less tropper on the road

congrats to this man who is retiring after so long , i am sure he is so tired of all those years of working giving tickets and doing so many good thing and maybe even not so good things , im just quessing since i dont know the man. these troppers men and women, i do wonder if they ever look the other way when they see someone they know breaking a traffic law, or ignoring it if it is a family menber? well i have always wondered. cuz i have gotten a several the years , and never did once they give me a break, then again i knew no black n white people. well good luck to this man and i hope he enjoys his retirement for many years to come with his family. peace

I have had friends and people I know well pull me over and yes, they did their job. I received tickets each time.

Congrats to Trooper Whiteaker..you are a fine individual. Enjoy your retirement!!!
I had the pleasure of dispatching for Uvalde County and met This wonder trooper many times. I especially enjoyed hearing him sing a couple tunes on the air for all who listen to scanners.

I grew up around the corner from Trooper Whiteaker. He has served his State well over the past 1/4 century. Thank you, Wayne, for your service to protecting the citizens of the Great State of Texas. Go Band!

Congrats to my Dad! I'm so proud of him! He loved his job and was good at it. He is loved by many people and deserves many wonderful years of retirement!
