Liquor by the drink will easily pass in Winfield. All the drunks that go up to the county like every night will be sure to get out and vote for it.

Change and progress are are never welcome in small minded individuals. Jesus turned water into wine, if you (well) can turn water into tax revenue that will be fine with me. The people of Winfield that drink are going drink liquor if they want too, why not let them spend their money here instead of oustide of the city. Easy answer vote yes, and if you don't want liquor just don't buy it.

thanks to each and every one who talked , visited and explained what this means for Winfield .
This will help put Winfield back on the map .
We have successfully stopped the city property tax.
This should help produce some jobs and build much needed revenue for Winfield .

I think everyone will benefit from the results . we can still provide our services and I think we will see Winfield get a boost economically . The main thing is (NO CITY PROPERTY TAX ) . Free garbage ...free fire protection ...improvements on our city park.

Let me give you one example ..the new mexican restaurant could not make it in this small town without it . Now this place can have a good chance at making some money . Look at how many businesses have closed because of our population and the distance we are from mayor traffic flow.It will take a little time but we will have something that is in demand and will bring people to Winfield. It will help all or our local businesses and bring in a lot of revenue in the future.

The Park....I think the city can do better about the park. Why dont they just buy one big tractor and cutter rather than have 2-3 mowers and 2-3 guys 3-4 days out of the week cutting grass (Plus the gas).I dont understand why all the days and man power cutting grass. One guy one big tractor could cut it in a day.Now Im not knocking the guys that cut and keep the park up...They do a great job! Just think with so much to cut in the summer they need bigger machines.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with voting yes for liquor . the money that liquor will bring to this town will do many good things. The services provided by the town will help the churches and the Christians the same as everyone else here . I hope no one feels guilty about voting yes.
You yourself said the only way you support liquor is to buy it . No one will be forced to buy it there for Christians have done nothing wrong .

Signing the Petition and voting for liquor is both WRONG.It is against church covenent to use and promote alcoholic beverages.
