After reading the articles the last few months. Made me realize how bad it has gotten. I I adopted 2 dog from there many years ago..And yes trying to adopt a maltese/poodle was a hassel. We finally got the 5 year old dog. We also later adopted mattee. We had no problem because she was about 15 deaf and almost blind mix terrier. They figured she only had 3 months to live so they practically gave her to us. She did live one and a half years longer. MY concern is what? is going to happen to the little critters when they shut her down. I wish there were some younger people that could take over the shelter. These ladies are too old to be running the facility. And cannot make the right decisions.
They need new blood and the backing of the county.

I heard they did have a rescue to take the dogs and cats and the village said NO! They have gotten away with this because people are getting paid off. The right people apparently, but those poor animals! The village of Bloomingdale is letting this go on and on. It's their fault as much as the abusers. This city's reputation is falling apart and they deserve it.
