If you don't think Gov. Jim had any choice but to veto Gay Marriage then I got some real neat Kool-Aid for you to drink.!!! You knew this was going to be a distraction and Shumlin is the one behind. Somehow he got this bright idea of being Gov.
The whole idea was to hold of S115 until after town meetings and then shove it threw.!!! Its now apparent that is no longer a grass roots movement in Vt. but a big push by the National Gay Rights Movement from California.!!!

Well spoken! The Peter Shumlin quote (can't veto life-long commitments) seemed particularly well-put--the stark contrast between political mantras and committed relationships. My own resolution for this issue is the rights being sought are not quite civil rights. They are spiritual rights of the deepest consequence.
