Rockingham land trust head resigns

Six million dollars to 28 apartments? I've stopped up there and talked to workers on the job. Most of them have told me it would have been better to tear the houses down and start fresh. Cellars full of mold and crumbling. Houses poorly constructed to begin with packed in tightly with no green spaces, set directly on the street with not even a buffer between them and the sidewalk. Yet somehow the RACLT has found millions of dollars to repair, renovate and rejuvenate these falling down little tenemants at the end of a street filled with other tenemants at a cost of around $250,000 per apartment!!! Yes, you heard that right,$250,000 per unit! What could have been built in that space if those old, dingy, poorly built and maintained ancient buildings had been razed and new well planned cottage type housing with green space had been built instead. Healthy, safe. I'm worried, you cant tell me that they have put $250,000 into each unit. I'm worried, has anybody seen the specs on these apartments? I'm worried, has anybody seen the payrolls for the promised 'local' workers? I'm worried, has anybody seen the payrolls for the administrative costs? And now we see Mr. Brink leave for 'personal' reasons. A broad and curious statement. I met him, seemed like a genuinely nice person. Is Mr. Golec questioning these workers and RACLT or just glancing through the buildings as he did at the Saxton's River Elementary School and Central Elementary Schools who are now in litigation over building issues? Could we possibly be proactive here for a change and make sure things are what they are supposed to be, gentlemen and lady? I'm worried and I hope I'm not the only one!
