If this happened in CT the "youthful offender" would most likely be sent out of state, only to return when considered an adult. His juvenile record would be sealed and essentially wiped clean...set free to committ another heinous crime on our society as allowed by our State representatives.
My heart and thoughts go out to all of the survivors of these violent and often preventable crimes by repeat offenders. At some point I am hoping that an informal eduacation or personal experience may convince our law makers that violent predatorial repeat offenders should be locked away for life until death.

Face it folks...nothing is going to change in the judical system.The offenders seem to have all the rights and the victims have NOTHING.We all want more prisons, but no one wants it in their backyard.Killers appeal,then appeal again,then again.We need a system that states..if you kill someone..then you get killed.You rape,you get raped..yes,eye for an eye...pass that law and lets see how many crimes are commited...

I know that is very tramatic experience for the family at this time, and people are not making it easy for the family, a man lost his wife and son the same day,if you was in that postion how would you feel.So please just pray for the family, negativity on this or other websites is not going to bring this man and wife back and call other people names, it just shows how much unintelligent and still wicked and cold hearted people out there, to me most of you with in comment sound like you would do the same shit.

Oh this will be my last comment on this website,i've founded other website that there are more intelligent people, and they are not a racist, you can search them too,(Baltimore) and see that don't get upset when someone make there remarks and started to call names and using racist remarks,they said what they have to say and moved the hell, they are more symapethic, and wished and prayed for the family,so i guess i was on the website where the some people are just plain stupid and a racist.BBBBBYYYYYYEEEEEE, if you know what that mean

There were times when all these people were nice and not so nice, just like in most families. Not many people or families or people are perfect. These people had good qualities and the mother was trying to be a good mother. Society is putting way too much pressure on these kids, it is hard to get into colleges because of the huge numbers applying, and parents are worried about their kids getting in. Competition is fierce. They should do away with these AP courses. Who cares about that. The kids' mental health should be first and foremost. And yes, the kids sometimes need some toughness and encouragement/straight-talking from the parents or they get spoiled. Too many kids run the show these days.
What is this city coming to?#4 The city needs to step up efforts to prevent this type of youth violence. It happens in school and at home in families to. Sad story. There needs to be more youth counseling programs and better funding of schools so students have someone to turn to.#5It is a very very sad think,to happen to a mother and a father.You spend your life loving this seed that the two of you made.Storms,the hot sun,whatever the day was,each time you looked at that child you thought to yourself,I love them so much,then they growup,they are only part of yours now,it is hard for me to write this.You could never dream of your child not your child doing anything to hurt you in anyway.Well we all know the times we live in,you say I do pray,you say I,did this,Stop be still,and STILL CALL ON YOUR HIGHER POWER.BBBBBYYYYYYEEEE
