I'm thinking the concern was not for the kids, considering they haven't gathered at the site for several months now, the concern was that the town residents were getting tired of looking at it all and the town didn't want the constant reminder that one of their own was the one to blame. Sad, considering a young life was lost there and the person who did it is still walking the streets free. Whoever complained about the memorial should be ashamed of themselves. Had it been someone they were close to they would not be complaining.
