Put Rail Stop In Downtown Windsor Locks
Windsor Locks ' efforts to move its train station back downtown are well-timed. Rail advocates are pushing to win federal funding for the refurbishment of the line from New Haven to Hartford and Springfield for commuting and as a high-speed link to New York and Boston.

This article doesn't fully explain what the close to $23,000.00 is for. It's to hire someone to see if it is feasible to move the old train station to a new location. As a resident, I don't think that is worth the money, obviously that building is beyond repair and on top of what it would cost to get the building in top shape so it can actually be used, the town wants to spend another 23 grand on top of it to hire someone to come in and say Yes or No to moving the building ?
A little ridiculous !
Get rid of the old Train Station, the building should be condemned !
Leave the new Train station where it is..it's more convenient to get on/off the highway, less traffic congestion, it's not near any residential areas and take the 23 grand to spruce up that area a bit.

I think best to leave it how it is its not going to change anything at all. I go through there a the time and have a lot of fond memories and I guess many others feel them same.

the whole main street looks like crap so why bother with the train station?
