When will the state give meaningful support to the tweed new haven airport? There are thousands of area flyers who are less than 30 minutes from the tweed airport. If tweed with proper support from the state could secure 15 to 20 daily flights,it could meet the needs of area travelers. The ride to bradley field is a pain when compared to the ease of getting to tweed and the lack of hassle in clearing security, boarding and baggage claim.
Tweed will never be another bradley and it does not have to be.With service to 3-4 hubs, tweed could be self supporting and if direct international travel is needed, kennedy airport offers the greatest amount of non stop international flights.I have used both bradley and tweed in the past and hands down, tweed is my preferred airport, but it needs more service offerings to attract more customers.Try tweed, you'll like it!
