Editorial: No pay for officer whose drunken driving killed teen

Michael Koistinen, the Windsor Locks police officer involved in the Oct. 29 crash that claimed the life of 15-year-old Henry Dang, is currently enjoying paid administrative leave an annual salary of $59,976 while town officials debate whether or not to fire him.

I totally agree he should not be sitting around with 100% pay. He killed a 15 year old boy because he was drinking and travelling 73 miles an hour on a 35. There's a reason why the posted speed limit is posted at 35 miles an hour in that area. Duh! You migh hurt someone if you go any faster whether you are drinking or not. Add to the fact that there is a small hill there and you can't see the intersection until it's too late, at 73 miles an hour the kid had no chance dark or not!!
