At Bradley Airport, Concern About Business Class Sales

Terminal A where American Airlines still is is possibly the worst terminal in the country. You can't help but smell the rancid hot dogs from the awful concession near the gates. You catch a whiff of them as soon as you clear security. What a way to attract business to the area. It is a disgrace!

It's bradley, what do you expect a world class airport? Come on think where you are, your lucky to even have an airport live with the hot dog stench and take your flight like a good little sheep

When the airlines stop playing shenanigans and actually lower prices and stop trying to screw the consumer, perhaps then more individuals will travel more often. Until then it ultimately comes down to "Do I need to fly" or "Do I want to fly" to this particular destination. Public transportation in this state is a complete debacle, the DOT should be dismantled

The airport itself is not why I've basically quit flying. It's the F-U attitude of the airlines. Customer service is gone and I left with it. Many of my trips are the midwest (Chicago, St. Louis) and southeast (Atlanta, Nashville) but I'm willing to drive the extra few of hours of travel time (in peace) or take Amtrak to not have to deal with the attitude issue. Simple courtesies are gone and until the airline corporate executives realize the issue they've created and are willing to care about the customer in addition to the bottom line, they won't receive my business.

I fly back to CT a few times each year and it is my opinion that Bradley is "adequate", nothing super nice but it does the job.

It could be cleaner and present itself as a welcoming point to CT for first time passengers ariving in the state but that is a simple housekeeping problem.

Travel by air is no longer an enjoyable experience it is now just a means to an end and that is getting there and returning in a relative safe enviroment not plagued with drug dealers, and criminals.(exclude the baggage handlers)

I have to admit the American terminal is rough around the edges. One only has to fly out of the new terminal Southwest and Delta share - a world of difference compared to the other terminal spaces. CT residents, like myself, need to make a decision to fly out of BDL and voice our wish for other airlines and improvements. I'd like to see JetBlue.

Not that I'm a world traveler, but I do fly to my vacation home in Florida several times a year. Most airlines DO have a "F U ATTITUDE", but people STILL go on vacation. Alot of the problem is the high cost to fly from Bradley, You can fly from any other airport (NY, Providence, NJ, Boston for a huge difference. Bradley is a little less busy, so maybe less intidating. The food courts are a disgrace compared to most other airports, too.

The airline are charging high rates because the state is charging these airline big money, the lease rate is very high in the new terminal. That is why American has not left terminal B because when they relocate to the new terminal the cost for rent almost doubles. Some of the concessions are as bad as they are because the airport lacks oversight. When you add all of these issues up and add some other ones what makes you think the Jet Blus of the world want ot do business at BDL. Lets not forget getting you stuff stolen out of your suitcase..

It is not only the airlines that have an attitude, the executive staff at BDL are impossible to work with. They run this airport into the ground as they are not flexible with the companies that have attempted to do business there. They have chased off the good companies, this is why you barely get a hotdog.

As a business traveler I have changed my flight plans to travel out of T.F. Green (PVD) airport in Providence, RI instead of Bradley (BDL) primarily due to ticket costs. Even though PVD is 25 miles further away for me to travel to the airport, I can park, get my ticket and through security all in 20 minutes - and my flights are less expensive. In my experience, to travel out of BDL and park, get my ticket and through security takes at minimum twice as long and costs quite a bit more.

As a business frequent traveler, the best thing BDL can do is try to find a way to lower the cost of flying in and out. This market is just too overpriced.

Bradley is only going to get worse the newly appointed chair of the board of directors thinks they don't need to meet monthly and now its every other.. next month they will scale back to quarterly. Just another Gov appointed person who does not want to do there job.. Big shock
