When the original version of this story was posted yesterday, I complained about the quality of the research and the fact that it was therefore impossible to even make an educated guess about whether the judge was right or wrong. Today's story has a few more details, but if you read the JI's coverage from yesterday (as this reporter must have) you will have a bit better understanding.

I think he would have been let out of an Italian prison too soon. Good for the judge for saying NO to the transfer back to Italy. He deserves to spend the rest of his miserable life in a US prison. You never know, there may be prisoners who knew the men killed.

Cheaper than feeding and housing him and also providing the all important health care. Plus as an added benefit, rope is recyclable.

I applaud the judge in this case. all judges should be as tough. I hope Benny enjoys prison food. To bad NO WINE! I will have a glass of a nice Italian wine and toast the judge!!!

I am very much in favor of capital punnishment. On the other hand this scum will rot in jail for the rest of his life. Overall it will cost us less as well. Let him rot!
