Another example of the police persuing easy targets instead of real criminals. What is it we pay them for again? Oh yes, to "Protect and Serve". I feel much safer now that all those dangerous swingers are off the street.

You are kidding? This is the best use of taxpayers money? The police do not have anything better to do? I guess dbear said it best. We should all feel much safer now that these swinging adults are off the street. Kudos to the Windsor Locks police, you should be sooooo proud of your selves, you trained really hard in cop school to achieve such high standards.

How come no one invited me to this party? I agree that the police could find better things to do like enforce traffic regulations or something

I think a bigger story is of what goes on daily. Police informants are paid tax dollars by police to break laws. Prostitutes are being used by police, so are drug dealers. Get some Connecticut police antics on video, and we can get the nation's attention. http://www.opednews.com/maxwrite/diarypage.ph...

What a waste of taxpayers money. What consenting adults do at a private party is their business.

Thank God for this enforcement.I can sleep much better at night knowing law enforcement personnel are doing their job.Maybe they can get some Homeland Security Funds. What consenting adults do is their buisiness,if you don't agree with them, don't participate.I didn't see anything in the article saying people were forced or coerced into anything or any mention of minors in the bar. Live and let live.

This is ridiculous. Consenting adults should not have to worry about cops busting up these kinds of parties. If no kids were involved and they were not serving alcohol to minors then this was a complete waste of time and resources. These charges are really petty and there is a lot more serious activity going on in towns than an adult swingers' club. Free country huh? Sure, ok. And one of the earlier posts is spot on. What the hell? We now let gays get married and are just fine with gay sex but heterosexual adults can't live a sexually open lifestyle? That's pretty messed up!

To all those that commented that police have better things to do and this is a waste of time..... They are doing their job. They were enforcing laws that YOUR representatives enacted. This is not a victimless crime. Do you think that in addition to drinking there was probably some drug use going on? How about the health laws? With the description of oral sex and masturbating in public, do you really want to sit in the seats, drink at the bar, and eat off the tables because they probably didn't have a bio-hazard crew come in for the clean up and sanitizing! Think about it before you jump on the cops! If they didn't "do something" you would complain that they were "lazy" and not doing their job. You can't have it both ways. Is there anything you people won't complain about???

This sort of thing has been going on for a long, long time! Look up Unique Diversions and Leaisure Time. Both local swinger clubs that play by the rules. The p[roblem here was when the correctional officer running the even became greedy. Instead of reserving a completely private place and havingit BYOB (To avoid violations of liquor laws), he chose a public venue (even though privately rented) with paid staff who serve alcohol. He of ALL people should have checked the laws first - gee! Other than that, nothing else illegal seems to have occured here. Consenting adults can do anything they want - sexually/in private.

Prior to your next post make sure you actually read the article. Nothing was stated about drug use. In regards to your "health concerns" give me a break. When you go to someone else's house do you not sit on their couches? I'm sure oral sex has taken place there. common sense wrote: To all those that commented that police have better things to do and this is a waste of time..... They are doing their job. This, like the possible loss of the Big 3 automakers will have ripple effects. Think about the loss of sales of Lysol products and the downturn in Pfizer stock due to decrease in Viagra sales.

Patently pitiful police posturing. Weren't they all paying adults? Weren't they all "in the know" before they ponied up their $40? Give us a break. Never been to something like this myself but, if I had, I'd be livid at the "invasion" by undercover "morality police." Sounds like the Taliban enforcers. And, to those who describe the location as "public", didn't you miss the point that the facility was "rented." How can it then be called "public?" Unless you'd view a wedding party, properly paid for by the just-married couple a "public" event. Screwed up logic, I'd say.

What would your reaction be if while traveling you walked into the hotel lobby with your young children looking for a room and found a bunch of bare azz people having at it? If the club had their "party" in a secure banquet room out of the public view no one would care and there would be no police involvement.
