Hi,me and my family are moving to Fort Collins area next month from England, we are from a quiet village in the uk and are very much looking forward to a change in lifestyle, With the recent events in Bailey I started to panic coming from somewhere where guns ae rarely seen, do ordinary people live in fear from gun crime in Colorado or are the problems few and far between, My children are very young and just about to start school making me very nervous.
Also if anyone can tell me about the good safe parts of Fort Collins to settle would be great to hear fom you.

Guns and gun violence is very much over-stated in the press. I moved from Surrey to Fort Collins many years ago and have never seen a gun drawn. I'm not saying it does not happen as we know from this past week, but it is very much the exception and not the norm! Remember the hysteria after Hungerford?... well, that's what is happening now!
Fort C. is a great place to live. It has the best of both the urban and rural lifestyles. Good luck!
