Looking to move out there from Cookeville, TN if I can land a GIS Job at an engineering firm out in Denver or anywhere out there in CO... However I'm looking for the best place to move into, 4 bedrooms and 2 baths or 1 would be needed and a price range of 700-1,000 per month would be awesome for rent or mortgaging...

A 2bdr apartment out there goes for $1100.00 a month + utilities. Definitely want to buy a house instead of rent.

I must say I'm pretty shocked by some of the comments on this page. I have lived in Fort Collins for the last 5 years and must say that the people here are the nicest I have ever met; and I've lived in Texas, California, Utah, and Arizona as well as traveled quite a bit. Yes, it's true that jobs are hard to come by, but the cost of living isn't very high and if you are outdoorsy you'll never get bored of living here.

Colorado sucks...Stay in Oc. there's no air up here, so you won't be able to breathe, and your skin will dry out.
Yes the airs dry, so are the people- Longmont is horrible- moved to Loveland ( white trash), Ft Collins a little bit better but not for me, so I moved into the Mountians , much better no redneck neighbors, Colorado folks are a dry unsociable bunch, spirit of hate in the plains, go into the Mountians their a little bit friendlier . My next move n. Carolina . Fires in Colorado are yearly, always smokey here. The POLICE, very anal in Loveland , I won't buy a house in that town!!!!

Lets see last 3 years northern Colorado has been on fire, smoke covered front range. I moved from NYC . I find Colorado folks unfriendly , judgmental , religious, redneck white trash , it's one extreme or the other over educated or meth drug addict tattooed white trash. It's a legalistic wacko society where kids get locked up for utter crap then have a criminal record for life. I was a cop in New York City and I have to say PO ekert in Loveland - your a complete description of white trash . I can see why the state legalized pot , you would have to remain stoned to cope with this environment .

i have " visited " fort collins a couple of times. and im from the south. this is what ive experienced there. people are weird as hell, not to mention they think they are the smartest people on earth. i visited fort collins, and ohh my god! everyone was wearing flannel and singing and playing bongos needing a bath on a street bench. there was this one old dude that wore tye dye from head to toe with a long white beard. dude musta been like 70yrs old or something. pitiful!! look people of colorado, and fort collins. the "60s" are over. get intouch with reality. get a job. take a bath. stop smoking pot. and become a part of a decent society.

Listen I agree with Darren. We have too many people here.
Colorado has been Californicated enough! We just don't have the space for more out-of-state liberals running away from your liberal home states, you are ruining Colorado, and we're tired of it. Move to California, maybe you can fix it?

Any where then Fort Collins its a over sized crack house with pot smokers everywhere, The cops there would most likely shoot your daughter in the head and then rape her corpse.

Born and raised in Colorado...5th generation Coloradoan but I moved away 9 years ago and won't move back. Colorado has gone liberal and there are too many people and pollution now. We moved to a neighboring state (with higher property taxes...much higher) but love it. I'm not saying where because it has a lot less population and is conservative and we don't want it to change. Colorado is becoming like California so you might as well move to California, at least you don't have the long winters!
