Never heard of Kipp Grace.

Ones that stick out from the past would be Lonell Phea, Arthur Phea, Corey Ransom, Chris Redd, Carlos Gilstrap, Aubrey Gilstrap.

I would probably go with Chris Redd as being the best.

You never heard of Kipp Grace? His dad owned "Grace's Catfish" (that is now Casa Vieja) and now owns "Natedog Gym". Great family!

Kipp could run like the wind!!

No, after my time I guess. I haven't kept up with the players in the past several years.

I would say Chris Redd as well, Carlos Gilstrap was pretty darn good, what a back field that was. Aubrey Gilstrap though wasn't anything like those two. Mostly was at WR most of the time but he couldn't catch a cold. Arthur Phea was a good one and Ranson was also pretty good. Overall body of work I think would have to go to Redd. One other kid that was pretty good and pretty much carried the team was about 10 years or so ago with Jeff Dunlap. That team road him to the playoffs, one of the few trips Bonham has made since the early 90's.
Who were the running backs on that '82 team I believe that went to the regional finals? Vonnie Mayberry I believe was the quarter back, I think Bobbie Danner was one back that year. I was pretty young back then going to the games but I think thats right. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think there was another. That was a great team that year.

Yeah, Aubrey Gilstrap didn't get a lot of carries, but he was pretty good in his own right. That was probably the best group of RB's Bonham had at one time.

I am trying to remember who you are thinking of back in the early 80's. May have to dig up some old yearbooks.

Did Donald "Duck" Dunlap play any RB or was he WR?

Also Kevin Traylor, I know he went to Tex. Tech but don't think he ever finished. I think he was more of a DB and didn't play much RB.

I would probably give the edge to Redd over Ransom for the ones I remember. I know the Phea's were supposed to be lights out in the 70's, maybe someone that was around then could tell us more about them.

Kipp Grace is the Manager of Natedog Gym, Met him 8 months ago when I joined, Super Nice Kid, I believe a Hernia Knocked him out of College Football, I guess working out with 500 lbs will do that, The guy reminds me of Wes Welker but Stronger & Faster, 5'9" 190lbs 4-3-40, I would think a college could have used that. Would like to see him try & play again, Never had the pleasure but have heard some pretty Impressive Stories, Either Way I wish him the Best!

Well, Traylor was a WR, they had Arthur Phea and Anthony Fuller in the back field then. He was very good though but was mainly a DB. I do wish someone could give us more info on the RB's from that 82 team.
I would have to say that Redd and the Gilstrap brothers was definately the best group to ever play. Too bad they didn't get further in the playoffs. That '91 team that lost to Forney I thought had it in them to do more but unfortunatly not. Great Def that year, seam to remember them having like 6 shutouts that year. Had high hopes, guess that was the last time I had high hopes around here.

LOL, what? You meant to tell me that Bonham has had some guy recently that is "stronger and faster" than current NFL WR Wes Welker, but no one has even brought his name up as one of the best RB's to come through Bonham? I think you are exaggerating a bit on him.

Lonnie played for the University of Texas and Marsh I believe played for the Giants in the NFL. They played for Bonham in around 69, 70,71. We also had two other players off that same team who played NFL ball. Durwood Keeton and Preston Anderson.

I'm Familiar with with all these Exceptional Players, I Guess Kipp would be the most Recent, Havn't Seen him in awhile, After the info from Football Freak Decided to check him out, Comparing him to Welker, No Doubt Stronger, Speed, Not Sure, If He Still had the Speed I would say This Kid could no Doubt Play in the NFL. Seems Like these Guys are bigger & stronger than in my Day!

Really? Redd and Gilstrap(s) were from the early 90's, you know, when Bonham was actually good in sports.

like a few others on here, who is Kip Grace? Never heard of him. I've been watching football since the mid 70's here. Don't always remember names unless they were worth remembering. When did this NFL caliber talent play for the Warriors. I'll admit, I haven't keep up since the losing began. It's just hard to watch. No one has stood out to me for quite some time out there. Please someone give me more info on this mysterious player.
