If he knew the rules ahead of time, regardless of what the voters voted, he should be forced to give up both. Instead he will be given the option to pick one. Of course he will pick the one that comes with more lucrative rewards. I am sure he will wrap it up in some spchiel about picking the one to better the organization but lets all be honest, its all about him. And I truely believe he knew full well ahead of time that this was a conflict of interest.
I find it hard to believe that someone would spend time and money without knowing the rules. Tell me this is not an attempt to defraud the tax payers. Oh wait....its politics....of course the taxpayers will suffer in the end
Just the facts

There is no "double-dipping", school board members serve without pay! If he has time to serve and do it well, I say "more power to him".
Where is the conflict of interest? This is none knuckle head.

I find it difficult to believe anyone would vote for him for either office. He is an embarrassment to the GOP. He is not well spoken, is crass, and has a belligerant demeanor. Instead of serving on the school board, he should consider going back to school.

He just wants to be in the limelight again. He has been pretty quiet lately.

He will drag it out for awhile, before he quits the county job. Then Charlie dertinger can apply for his job.
