I hope whoever is in charge will have control of the meeting and segregate the issues. The Austin vs Winchester Utilities should not be discussed; the Smart Meters should be discussed totally separate from the Sewer situation. We don't need to waste time jumping from one subject to another. Emphasis should be applied to this ridiculous 2 X the water bill sewer rate when we have no idea why the funds are required.

Am sure these folks pretty much have their act together..but , if not, maybe you should be the one to take charge? You sure seem likt the perfect candidate for this task. Just my opinion! It's good to hear the city council is planning to attend.. See you guys ---Arrezzo's Sept 6 @ 7 P.M.!

More Facts wrote: When you look at the makeup of the utilities board you have difficulty finding the technical expertise required to run an efficient utility system. The board chairman is a good man, a Duck River lineman, probably the only electrically knowledgeable person on the board. Do we have any mechanical engineers knowledgeable of influent and effluent water systems? I think not. We have a new manger, not sure of his background. He seems to have more interests other than the utility system. The makeup of the board is the key; school teachers, bankers, florists, etc do not have the technical expertise to manage a utility this large. Thus we have a utility charge of potable water used X 2; the simple way out. The TRA agrees with you. The only way we can fight this is from the top....down. An appointed Board needs to be people who have the expertise to manage and/or advise the utility system. A banker, florist and retail sales person who make up the majority are not the people we need!

TRA? Agree that the board's make up needs more folks with engineering/technical experience. Cliff is OK with the electrical including high voltage. Glen is good on the management side and contracts, the rest probably do not have clue. Mechanical/electrical/civil engineering should have a presence on the board. Someone will versed in RFP preparation and project management would be an asset also.

Can an audit be called for by someone outside of this county? Too many people around here hold hands - imo.
Am new to anything city and or political...and have no clue. I feel someone else should do the audit. Just to be on the safe side, THEN we could all be rest assured that all is well... that is IF all is kosher in the pickle jar.
