Some patrol as they should, others like sitting on 32 and pulling randoms over.
Is this the new priority?
How about you just make sure we arent getting our shit stolen! Thanks

I have noticed that also I hear that is where they catch alot of people with drugs so I really don't have a problem with it as long as they are getting rid of some of the drugs

Well that isn't all either, they also want to do something about all the cars and trucks in town that are to loud. So, if you have a diesel truck or need mufflers on your car or truck, you better watch out. There is one counsel member who is complaining about this, because it is to noisy when he walks through town.

The Sardinia police are a joke!!!! Half of them are volunteer cops tryin to keep their jobs so they sent them all to one tiny town!! They aren't from brown county even they live hours away! All they have to do is make up reasons to pull people over and hassle them.. They asked a friend of mine I'd he had a bazooka in his car??? Reallly? Ridiculous and I wish people would start speaking out on them and maybe they will send the assholes somewhere else! They don't care about the safety of the people on town they only want to ruin someone's day cz they have nothing better to do. I mean I do not think a town as tiny as Sardinia needs 10 cops running around! There is only one stop light for goodness sake! And to sit and pull people over on 32? I mean I think thats what we have the state Highway patrol is for. I seriously despise these stupid pigs

Are you really as stupid as you make yourself sound! Just because they are from other towns doesn't make them any different then any other cop from any other town! They VOLUNTEER here to help this po-dunk town out and help keep people safe! As for the state highway patrol they have alot to do and if that length of road can be covered by people who know what they are doing then let them do it! The money they bring in the traffic stops and drug stops out there help this town! Get a grip and if ya'll were pulled over then you were doing something wrong! Your just pissed because you got caught and they wouldnt let you talk your way out of it! They have done alot for the town and more people should be thanking them and not talking bad about them!

Yeah they are really doing their jobs pulling people over for no reason at all! I didn't get caught doing anything dumbass they pulled me over for a license plate light that was magically back on when I started my car again..they just wanted to pull me over because they had nothing else to do and it was late!! I'm one young girl and they call in 2 back ups, ask me if i have hand gernades?! search my car and find nothing! I haven't had so much as a speeding ticket since high school! And they did the same thing to a friend a few weeks later! So yeah I have nothing good to say about the prick ass Sardinia cops. I was hassled for no reason at all, and made late to a job where co workers and residents depend on me to be at on time. They volunteer to keep their jobs, not because their just so happy to serve the town. About half of them need sent to the next town over

They pulled a friend of mine over in the old martins parking lot and actually asked him if he had any hand grenades in the car....HAND GRENADES????
That lot isn't in their jurisdiction. And seriously...hand grenades....
I have no issues with the ones who do their job and do it well, but harassing ppl is becoming pretty popular amongst these guys.

there are valid points on here for both sides. to the lady who got her car searched, be smart enough to know that you do not have to let them search your car. you can say no. as far as asking for bazookas, and hand grenades during a traffic stop is something taught at the police academy to lesson tension. police do not honestly believe that you have explosives. it is to make you chuckle a bit and loosen up. as far as the police go. they work to hold a comission. i whole heartly believe that they should patrol town for crime not cheesey traffic stops, however, traffic stops is how they make contact with people to see if they have been drinking or smoking drugs in the car and check for outstanding warrents, but, that being said, protect the town. dont look for the easy traffic stops. a real cop knows the difference. thanks

I don't know much but what I do know is there is cop in sardinia that has a lack of respect for the citizens in the town, I mean what kind of cop let's someone drive away knowing they are drunking with kids in the car? Sounds like a real winner there, if i thought there was any chance of me becoming an officer in sardinia i would go through the schooling and all but hell my luck never goes right, officer dearing should certainly be fired though.

yea, i agree with everyone who is concerned with the five-o in sardinia. All they have ever done is harass people left and right for no reason other than they have the power and believe they can get away with anything. I was stopped once walking from the grocery store WITH grocery bags in hand and asked if i had weapons on me??? just because it was "after curfew." Not to mention the above statement when they let a drunk, high on pill drive away with his two sons in the back with nothing at all.. dont try an tell us, the people who live here and have had to deal with and see this bullshit happen on our streets. The cops here are either crooked, worthless, or just complete assholes.
