To anyone who will listen:

I need help My name is Brooke, My Husband is
in the United States Army and I have a 15 month
old daughter.
I resently went to court to get full
custody of my daughter because My daughters
father has been tring to take custody from me .
A Winchester Kentucky (whom I will not mention the name at this time) Judge granted Primary Custodin
to my daughters father
cause I move to Fort Stewart, Ga.
Where my
husband is stationed.
The Judge took my daughter
away from me cause my husband was in the army
and had to be stationed at Fort Stewart!!!!! How
crazy is that.
I dont know what to do to get my
baby girl back.
My daughter and my husband is
all that I have.
I am currently pregnant with another
child whom will probably never get to see his older sister.
The only reason that the judge gave was because
I moved to Georgia to be with my husband who has
already served one tour in Iraq and is due to start
another one in the near future.
Why is that so wrong
I thought that the courts wants to keep families
together instead I lost custody of my daughter,
because my husband is serving his country!!
I haven't got a arrest record, am not on drugs
or drink I do not abuse my daughter, there is no
reason for this to happen.
As I have stated the only
reason the judge gave was because I moved to Fort
Stewart to be with my husband.
The father of my daughter has never held down
a steady job for longer than a month, he lives with
his mother, he has never paid child support, or a
doctor bill.
All he does is play video games and on
the computer.
My husband and I have medical, dental
and vision on my daughter and have always supported
my daughter.
If anyone Who has been through this or anyone who
can help me please help. I dont know what to do.

I NEED
help I want my daughter.
My email address is
[email protected]
Please Help me out!!

If I was you I would talk with some kind od Lawyer for the Military where you and your husband are stationed. It is bull shit that they took your child away just because you are trying to give her a better life with you and your husband. If nothing else works, the only thing I can say is for you to move back here without your husband if you have to and get your daughter back! I have kids myself and I would be damned if I could ever leave one for any reason. I am sure you love your husband, but as far as I am concerned, a child always should come first before a man in your life. If you think the father is going to take care of her like she should be taken care of, and you want to let him keep her for a little bit that is one thing, but DON"T GIVE UP ON HER!! You keep fighting for her... I wish you all the best.

The judge gave primary custody to the childs father because you were trying to take her out of away from her father wich is also not right or fair to your daughter please dont take this coment the wrong way because I beleave she should also be near her mother some kind of compromise needs to be reached for your daughters sake.

I don't see why they would leave the baby with the father for any reason. In most cases they award joint legal custody and the mother is always the custodial parent unless she can be proved unfit. Exs live in different states all the time and they just work out some kind of visitation but they don't just take the child away from its mother. Especially if it that young, some don't even let the day keep them all weekend until after they are 2 years old. There is more to this story than meets the eye. Sounds to me like this guy just has the right people in his hip pocket.
