Has anybody else got a call about a interview for Amazon working from home?

How did you apply for at home

[was told]

I was told during my interview for amazon, that they would not have any work at home right away. It would be a while. Probably not until they moved into thier new building. I am surprised they have moved so quickly on this.

The at home jobs are only till the new building is built, then they will have to work from their.

Thanks! I had my interview sept 4th and was called yesterday to pick an orientation date.

. That is what I was told also. I think people think they will be always working from home but only until the building is completed. I think Amazon has cut down or maybe eliminated their working from home and wants all employees working at the call center(s).

I was told that between February at the earliest and June at the latest is when my at home position would end and I would then have to report on site for work. It's required that when the new building finishes that the at home employees report to the on site call center. However, does anyone know what hours the at home employees would be working, during training and after?

I really don't want the at home work but after talking with someone there today feel that's what they want me to do. I guess I will find out for sure, as I will start training soon.
