The coach for the cardnials, some RED NECK coach, oh my goodness!!! If he coached my daughter i would take her out of soft ball. He yells at the little girls like you would yell at the umpire. Does anyone know who he is out at Lykins??? He should be throwed out.

He is the same coach that was let go at the middle school because of parent complaints(which parents do have way to much control) is what i heard .But some how they have like nine kids off the middle school team and the dbacks have the rest and the other teams in the league dont even have pitchers or catchers (easy to win with the other teams walking 20 batters). But its just like the little league coach beat teams that have no talent and brag yeah we won 17-1 I am such a awesome coach .Try splitting the teams up a little better and if you have dads they wanna coach spread them out dont let them coach the same team to load it up .

He is a great coach, period. If he wasn't, then why were there several kids not going to play Little League Softball this year? The answer is, they love being coached by him. Even the middle school team girls loved his coaching. As to his Little League team, Cardinals, and my daughters team, the Dbacks (she is also a part of the middle school team), ALL of those girls you are reffering to are RETURNING PLAYERS, meaning, they are on the teams they have been playing for in past years. Every couple of years you do have one or two dominant teams, and then they go to the bottom because players move up into a higher division.

He is a great coach!!! If he wasn't then tell me why several girls were not even going to play Little League softball this year? Yes, Im correct in saying that, several were not going to play if he didn't coach this year. So looks to me that not that many parents have an issue with his coaching abilities. As to his team, and my daughters team, the Dbacks, yes our two teams are made up of several of the middle school players, BUT THEY ARE ALL RETURNING PLAYERS to the Cardinals and the Dbacks. If memory serves me correctly it was only 2-3 years ago it was the Marlins that was the dominant team, and it was made up of all middle school players. Looks to me that when that many returning team players try out and make the middle school team that their Little League coaches played a huge part of that. Every year there are 1-2 dominant teams, it just happens to be our 2 teams this year, and when all of the girls that are playing both middle school and little league have to move up to a different level, well guess what, there will probably be different dominant teams. The softball league struggled this year to even get girls to come play, so instead of fussing about so-called stacked teams, get every girl old enough you know to sign up, and get there dads, moms or whoever to coach.

If Little League done the drafts correctly you wouldnt have the dominant teams every two years or so. It is the most political league I have ever been a part of. In my opinion you should have a league director who is also on the board be able to coach a team. All parents are worried about these days is bragging rights, what happened to good sportmanship and having fun with friends while learning. I dont care who you are as a coach you are there for your child and your child only. Once their kids leave the league and move to other leagues you will have new coaches. There are very few coaches who have been there for several years and have no children in the league. The reason they say those girls wasnt going to play is to try and use that as leverage to get the league set up to accompany certain teams. I remember way before any of these parents and coaches came along that softball had a good league with several teams and played on the 9/10 field but a set of parents who were coaches and were on the board changed the construction of the league and it fell to pieces and the following year lost probaly half the teams becaus so many girls got bored and quit. All you can do is sit back and make sure your child is learning and explain to them the true meaning of Little League. Coaches and parents do not have whats best for the kids they want whats best for them. People needs to remember the example being set before them, what kind of satisfaction do you and your kids get by humiliating another team because you all are stacked. As far as middle school its the same way buddy Ball and political. If you look at softball at a certain coach whos not supposed to be on the property because he stole items from the park but now hes back and trying to encourage changes to benefit his daughter. People make me laugh at how hey are. Let the kids have fun and try out for sports the correct way. Not on who you or you parents are or how much your parents will do to get the upper hand for their child. Ive seen it from tball through high school. Its worse now than ever.

Coaches pick their sons to be the main player, always have. Will Richardson is not a good or fair coach. What a joke Little League has become!

Having raised 3 boys who were active in all sports, and grandchildren who are involved now, I have to tell you: none of this will matter to them at all in a few years. No one is going to get permanently scarred by anything in kids' sports short of molestation or assault. They'll have good coaches, bad coachs, "mean" ones and "cool" ones, and they'll get some exercise and make some friends. Have some fun.
The parents will always create drama that doesn't even exist for the kids. I played ball growing up and can't remember anyone's parents ever being there much. They had their life, we had our childhood. Everyone got along a lot better that way.
If you want to do something that will really affect your kids in a positive way, stop typing and read to them, with them, or just take a walk and talk instead of posting about the inequities that will invariably be there all our lives, and we deal with it.

Well said "WELL", maybe it would be the best if all parents and grandparents was not allowed at the games. Let the children play for fun and competition between themselves. I ha.e seen the parents ruin games with arguing. Between them and coaches. SAD!!

The whole system has ruined the "game" - it's not even a game anymore. It'a a competition between parents living vicariously through their kids and it's confusing to the children.

I agree about not letting parents or anyone watch the games. However ive been with youth sports for quite a few years and played myself. Its different now then how it was five years ago because the kids act the same way their coaches do and how the fans act. You could take the worst coach who argues and shows himself and watch and see if the kids do the same thing. Thats why There needs to be a better system for picking coaches. I know they are hard to come by but like well said its confusing on the kids because what they see and hear at ball practice or a game ist how they are taught at home. People need to get back and focus on what youth sports is all about.Like well said excercise, meet new friends and have a good time. It also gets kids out of their rooms away from the tv and computer. No wonder Americans are so over weight and bad health we let our kids start at a young age.

You only have dominant teams when you get rid of two teams combine the best players then add two new teams then dont give the team a coach until after the draft. So they had no choice in picking the players!!
This should not be done in an instructional league and it only proves the director of the girls softball has an agenda to allow this to happen! Little League sucks all you have is a bunch of wana be wall of famers who will never be what the men on that wall are now were back in the day! They were there for all kids not just their own children and egos!! GET Pissed if you want but its the truth!! Hope to see changes soon!
