As a physician I find it alarming that this facility goes against it's own ethnics and values regarding employee rights. Several well known physicians currently working with CRMC has voiced concern over the recent termination of a former nurse of many years for no reason at all, while managment has been caught stealing medications and incorrectly documenting patient records. It is clear that CRMC has a policy of retaliation against employees who report such misconduct.

It doesn't surprise me in the least. Whistle blower's will almost always be reprimended for telling on someone, especially if it is mgmt or a well liked person. If the story is true, hopefully the nurse will contact a lawyer. Best of luck!!!

This has been in effect for quite sometime of CRMC's ways. They have broken the law in many ways terminating employess, however it is hard to go up against them since NO attorneys will face them around this area. For public relation reasons they do not want to win a case against CRMC to many big wigs in town that have to much involvement. I guess Bob has padded a few pockets. I have enough evidence to prove my case however no one will take it on. Any information of a known attorney willing to go to battle with them would be greatly appreciated.

Did they give you a reason for the termination? If the reason was not legitimate, you should contact the news and tell them your side of the story and see what CRMC has to respond with. You would probably get a lot of suggestions that way from attorneys.

Well lets put it like this. I have worked with a wonderful nurse for many years whom has never been written up for any reason at all in over 15 yrs. While on break in the break room her and other employees were joking about a Brownie looking like "PooP" Joking she placed a small section on the cover of the toilet for a matter of seconds laughing and was fired for this??? However it was brough to my attention that this same model employee had reported violations against her supervisor who in the past has been caught stealing meds. It appears to me that I need to take advantage privledges at other facilities.

Is KAren a blond chick? Maybe in her 40's. I know a woman who works there as a nurse, and I thought she worked in the OB/GYN dept. I know for a fact she has taken drugs from there. I used to live next to her and she had a really young boyfriend and two daughters and they stayed messed up on pills all the time. The guy was disabled so they lived off HUD. The girls were a mess.

As a physician associated with CRMC I am concerned that their termination practices will reflect on my practice that I have worked hard to build. It is no secret that a current nursing supervisor was caught taking meds from the ER. Instead of being terminated she was later promoted to her current position as supervisor. The employee that was fired was fired over a simple joke. She had no prior problems in the several years employed with CRMC. She has devoted her life to this facility and this happens. The CNO is well aware that this action is well beyond extreme. I do not agree with the decision and like I stated before will likely be taking my patients to another facility.

I would hardly think a physician would take his pts. to another facility due to a nurse being terminated. That is very extreme....

miss termination as it turns out was a member of the standards and behavior commitee. to say this was the only reason for termination is far fetched

I'd like to know why Dr. House is so concerned over this one nurse. Come on now, I'm certain there has been other nurses terminated from the hospital. Did you get that involved in their termination? To say that you are thinking of taking your patients to another facility. I find that a little extreme. For a Dr. to get this involved in a nurses termination leaves one to wonder why.

Also have you recently heard about the ER doctors quitting. Dr. Short, Dr. Sewalls and Dr. Loudermilk all have resigned. Soon after the director Jacque Porter gave her resignation. I'm willling to bet it was a forced resignation. All I can say is paybacks a bitch Jacque... I wish these physcian's the best in there new journey.

I know for a fact that is the only reason she was terminated. Never missed work, never was late and went above and beyond for her co-workers. This was nothing but retaliation. All I can say is whatever facility gets you will be gaining a outstanding nurse.

There are two sides to every story. If she was treated unfairly I suggest she contact an attorney. That's the only way she will resolve anything.
