For those of you that have already received your first Amazon paycheck, did you get it when you were suppose to? Did it come in the mail or direct deposit? Was it on Friday or Saturday? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

what is very funny, most jobs do this, they give you a paper check for first check to roll the employee into the payroll schedule.

yet we have this person here asking on topix rather then asking the employer, or referring to the employee handbook.

I am gunna wager a guess as well, that a class or meeting of some sort was had when you first walked into the job.

In siad meeting papers and what would happen with your first paycheck was discussed, as most companies do this very often and frequently.....

This is like me needing a hambuger and coming on here to ask. "I am getting one, when did you guys get yours?"

Why are so many questions about this place being asked here when they should be asked at work? Have these people never had a job before?

They don't work there because ups that is funny only for the work. At home people but if yours didn't go direct deposit it went to the payroll lady

. Those of us working at home don't have a manager across the room to ask. And getting email and phone calls returned is impossible.

What you bring home varies quite a bit based on your situation and how many you claim on your taxes. 11-12/hr is pretty good money, even after taxes.

. I am single and after taxes and the cheapest health insurance plan, I make $290 a week which ends up being $7.25 an hour. Which makes my 2 week paycheck around $580 and $1160 a month. However, I should have stayed on my unemployment where after taxes I made $1867 a month.

I accepted a position with Amazon then after sitting down with a calculator and my bills, I didn't accept the position and remained on unemployment. After taxes and insurance, I would have been bringing home about $400 less a month. Most of those people who went to work with Amazon were needing a job until a better one came along and now some of them are realizing they should have stayed on unemployment till a better job came along. I have several works still working there and they are miserable and hate the place. Also, it is disgusting for you to blame people on unemployment for the mess that our country is in. Also unemployment USE to last for so long but now there are people who have been on it for two years or later if they keep filing an extension. I am on my first round of unemployment and if I file an extension in March, I can probably go thru November 2013 receiving it. Why should someone accept any position just to get off unemployment instead of the job that they enjoy.

Because we aren't lazy mooches like you are. That's just absolutely disgusting. If you aren't smart enough and don't have the job skills to get a better job now, why in the world do you expect someone to hire you a year from now. Your stupidity is astounding. There is a reason people like you work menial jobs their whole lives. You are lazy and expect everything to be given to you. Parasites like you are exactly what's wrong with this country today. Get off of your ass and learn a trade you ignorant leach.

. So you are saying that someone who lost their job making $18 hour should take a $11 hour job doing something they wouldn't enjoy doing ? The reason people are on unemployment assistance for a year or longer could be there are no openings doing what they do in our area, it doesn't mean they are lazy. Would you tell an unemployed coal
miner who made $50,000 a year that he/she was lazy for not taking a $8.00 hr job at WalMart. I use to work at a unemployment office and we always told unemployment applicants not to accept any job just to get off unemployment but to wait till you find a job that you know you will stay at. Employers did not want us to send them referrals who were only going to work a short time while they find a job in their chosen field. I'm sure Amazon don't want to go thru the expense of hiring and training someone who might stay around a few weeks or months. You really must be very uneducated on the economic situation going on today in just about every household. What is wrong with our country today are clueless people like you. I bet you are also an Obama supporter.

But the poster you stated was probably an Obama supporter is saying that the unemployed and "leaches" should get a job and off the government check. Could it possibly be that there are people who work and support a work ethic that also support Obama?

You are one sick person. Have you ever been on unemployment from losing a job and went from $30,000 a year to $12,000 ? Yes, there are some people on unemployment and other assistance that abuse the system but there are more people on unemployment who would rather be working. I hope that someday you lose your job and see what some many millions of Americans are going thru. In the meantime, get some professional help. Start with an anger management class.
