Yes I agree Columbia needs to go, he has ruined Pokey this yr! Kids have no respect for him! Best thing for him to do is just resign, especially after losing to Madison Central the way he did! Coach don't blame the kids, like you did in the Winchester Sun, it's your play calling of run run run, that lost that game!

Yeah we hear this year after, the kids are undiscipline they don't listen to the coach. The parents negativity affects the team. The funny thing is you hear the same excuses every year but the roster changes every year and the only constant from year to year is the staff.

Again GRC football was disgraced last night at Rowan Co! We looked like a team that doesn't know what were doing out there! It's time for a change! New coaches all around, some new blood for the football program, someone who wants to teach these kids something, sure not learning it now. Best scenario is to just RESIGN COLUMBIA, and take your crew with you!!!

Clark county's program has been ran into the ground! He ruined timmy davis career with a acl injury. Making him play knowing he was hurt back in 08! Just one example! Its time for a change or clark county will continue to have talent wasted!

I don't know why parents that have kids coming up that desire to play highschool footbal don't demand a change. Columbia has had as much talent as any school in the state the last 8-9 years and what has he done with it nothing.

The only problem GRC has is the same problem as the middle schools...there are to many "Dads" standing on the sidelines trying to be coaches..I did not think Paul would do this and he avoided it for several years..but now it is starting to bite him ..

How are the "Dads" standing on the sidelines. The "Dads" can't go to the practices, can't say anything to the players during the games, so how are the "Dads" being coaches. I dont think you know what your talking about! I think each concerned parent should email Mrs. Farris and let her know there concerns!

As a former player of Coach Columbia I will back Coach Columbia whether he was 0-10 or 10-0. Yes, he has made some mistakes in his play calling before but not enough to ruin a season. Clark County always has SOME good talent but it is hard to compete against 6A schools that actually have 100 kids coming out every year. The biggest problems with our school is the number of kids that SHOULD be coming out to play football every year. It all starts at the middle school level where these kids are being run off at a young age and they have no desire to return again. Columbia tries every year to recruit kids out of the school to come out but they are either too lazy or have had bad experience with football before. There needs to be an actual strength and conditioning coach to get these kids strong mentally and physically. We have too many kids walking around the school that need to be in pads every year. And yes, Columbia did have Pokey Harris this year and a couple of nice running backs to split time. He also had............. Oh wait that's right, he had nothing else to really work with. Campbell did not even plan on playing QB this year but he had to take one for the team. Pokey can run with the best of them but he has to have a little bit of running room to work with. The offensive line was smart and they knew what they had to do, they just were not strong enough or deep enough to execute for 4 quarters. After seeing the overall team talen there was to work with, I think he did a fine job. The other years when the team was pretty loaded with Robbelle Rogers, Tristan, Lawrence Skinner, Henry, etc; the teams were always one play/bad call away from moving on against some great ball clubs. Give Columbia 100 kids on the sideline every year and watch him work some magic. He is a class act and leads by example. He is good for the kids and great for the community and I hope he is around at some capacity for years to come.

coach palmer may be qualified to coach, but is his son qualified to start this weeks play off game? Paul walked off the field yesterday, told the guys "go on home, get outa here!" What kinda coach does that? we knew that the team needed a new qb this year, then why didn't we start to develop one last year? This team needs to be consistant on both sides of the ball, limit the penalties, and have a football "attitude" I've been told that almost all the players don't even wear their protective gear like they are supposed too (cup), c'mon man, what kinda crap is that?

This is a good example of a coach who has no business coaching, but everyone wants to be nice and let him slide. College coaches who do not win do not coach. It is the few kids with real talent, enough to get college paid for, who have paid the price of his incompetence. Time for a change and hire someone who has the talents to win and "manage" this program. Obviously not Columbia!

My son isn't after girls he is about school and is very focused. Parents need to take control of their kids. Coaches are not Fathers. So if your is acting like a fool and not taking care of what he needs too it starts at home. NOT ON THE FIELD!!!!!!!!!!
