Disband parks and rec board

Seriously. This board has to go. They hire an underqualified out of towner to be the director. Then, they let the underqualified director hire her underqualified out of town buddy to be second in command so she can have someone to hang out with all day.

Hiring her buddy is what upsets me the most. If we are going to be in the business of hiring buddies, at least hire buddies from Winchester that will be living here, spending money here and paying their taxes here.

I call for city and county leaders to take a stand and remove the members of this board that basically sold our parks and rec to a buddy system from out of town.

I have news for you they are both very well qualified. Before you go bashing someone why dont you look into there education and previous employment that they worked. They are way more qualified than you know. Find something else to cry about. You should be worried about the water increase.

I thought you thought the position of Aquatic Director was nothing but fluff - something you "could do on your lunch hour" - now you think there are qualifications required? You're right about that; there are definitely qualifications and certifications to be met.

I don't know what your personal campaign here is, but you are showing your ignorance every time you type. Please stop whining. If you even pay taxes, they are certainly not being spent in any great excess by hiring auatic personnel for a pool. Look around you, drive down Lexington Avenue with your eyes open and check out the drugged welfare/medicaid/disability recipients, and you'll see where the bulk of your taxes are being spent.

Bet this... there is a position open at the parks board that requires basic receptionist skills along with payroll, accounts payable and rec. ect ect... I will just about bet it is filled by another buddy! There has been SEVERAL qualified applicants with years of experience that have submitted resumes. Lets just see if an old college buddy that is under qualified gets the job!

BET THIS... There is a position open for a receptionist at the Parks office. It is general office skills, accounts payable and rec... as well as payroll. There has been SEVERAL qualified people from winchester submit resumes for the position. People with years of EXPERIENCE ! Bet another out of town college buddy gets the job. As for the Old ass men on the parks board, it's time they go. Theye are in such awe of the new pretty faces there they will agree with anything!
