I'm looking for someone in Lex. or Winchester area that is experienced and can highlight and style hair. I also don't want to go to someone who is overpriced, which I hear a lot of ppl do in this town.
Sad but true

I like Vonda's, but a plain hair cut is 20.00 / wash is extra. High lights etc. Are good also but boy will you pay.

The most expensive place that I've been to was Cha Cha's in Lexington..Amazing but expensive.
I'm not too sure of any really good ones in Winchester, however, in Mt. Sterling there is a woman who does really good hair for cheap. I went to her for years before I moved but she would do a highlight with lowlight with wash, color, and style and your eyebrows for $40. She is probably the best stylist I've ever been to.
The Hair Marshall. Her name is Angie.

I love Pam at Ronnie Jones, charges $28 for a shampoo, cut and style. Color is usually $50 give or take.
Francis is also great at Fantastic Sams, if you just need a quick cut, it's only about $12 there, not sure on color prices

Thanks for the advice, but I can tell you I will not go to Fantastic Sams. A friend of mine use to go there and she had her hair messed up pretty bad and they wanted to charge her to fix it. They dion't have enough experience and half the time they use crappy bleach for highlights.
The best

Fantastic Sams uses Redken color (something you wont find at wal-mart or sally's). And they have just as much experience as the others in this town(probably even went to the same beauty college). It takes a talent to do hair and some just dont have it. So to "get it right" you are wrong. They never charge for re-do's if it was really "messed up"

M-O-I-F Beauty Academy? Wherths that at, thonny? You're not s'pose ta drink the color and hilite tholuthion! Why would you want to pay to be practiced on? Go out to the Walmart store and stand in the hair color isle and wait on a beautician to walk by and then you can pick her brain for free and do your own hair for $10 dollars. Now that's cheap if you ask me! Most all you beauties are lookin' for a bargin...well I'm here to help!

U get what u pay for and I totally agree with "got it wrong" I love all the girls at fantastic sams and apparently most the town does too because they always have a long wait when I go in and those girls just keep on goin even with no breaks all day! That's dedication I don't care what you say!

Spelling Demons Part 2
Louise's Weekly Feature

In the July 13 Weekly Feature, we studied five spelling demons. Spelling demons are the words that we often misspell. Here are some more common problem words with some hints on how to remember them. After you have reviewed the word list, try a quiz to help you tame those spelling demons!

1. attendance:(n) the state of being present
Spelling hint: attendance ends with –dance. Most of you would like to attend a dance.

2. balloon has two l’s to go with its two oo’s.

3. bargain:(n) something bought at a cheap price (one of several meanings)
Spelling hint: a bargain is something that ends in a gain for the consumer.

4. business with an i, is for making income.
busyness with a y is being busy.

5. calendar: ends in –dar. A calendar is for showing days and dates
