If satan has ever made his appearance on earth, it's at Central Baptist Church. What is with all the bad mouthing of the pastor? From what I understand, he preached the word of God excellent. Has satan gotten in someone's pocket? Old satan can do that to people, then that first person can lead others with them down satan's road and really destroy a church. Hope that isn't what has happened to Central Baptist and the people (you know who you are, satan followers) of this church. The people that are running their mouths about a God loving, God fearing, pastor is definately controlled by the devil himself.

I have always thought that Central Baptist Church goers are hypocritical. They want to think they are Christians, but Jesus would be ashamed of the way they talk about each other, lie, cheat and steal from others. But they dont have a clue, they think because they go to church on Sundays that God will overlook all their faults. "...and he will say, I never knew you."

Thats just it... "From what you understand..." That statement implies that you did not hear the pastor speak directly from the pulpit with your own ears.. You are basing your opinion on the opinion of others.. What's to say that those you are listening to are not being led by Satan? Just wondering...

Sometimes God simply allows adversity to bring about His will. He sees the BIG picture that our finite vision does not show us.

I totally agree 100% I know some people that go there. I know what they do on weekends and weeknights. The teenagers there are just as worse. Act like they are all go God and then go out and party it up on the weekends......sad!

The only thing that was done wrong at Central Baptist Church was done by the vision committee. In that they did not have the guts to tell the church why Art Beasley was being ask to leave. What about this fact, if he had not done anything wrong, then why did he not take up for himself? You don't just walk up and toss in the towel if you have a $100,00 a year job. He's a good teacher not a good leader. People showed up on Wednesday to vote that had not been in church for years. So now after the vote, he gets his pay etc. for a year and doesn't even have to look for another job! He's on vacation for a year. They thought they had it hard trying to pay bills, its only just begun.

Lets add this,to that! The vision committee has come up with a study for 28 days by Henry Blackabee. When he came to central several years ago, no one went to see him then,he showen up in person. What makes them think a study by him is any better?

I think it's all about the numbers - ie., lack of growth and people leaving for other churches. If Don Mathis were still leading CBC, there would be 1,000 in the pews every Sunday morning. He just had a knack for growing congregations. Unfortunately, Art Beasley didn't. I have nothing against the man. He's a wonderful person, just not a capable leader. Lot's of pastors can preach the Word of God just fine. But few have what it takes to grow a church and truly impact the community.

As one who didn't come to the Lord until later in life, I needed a teacher to help me understand the word of the Lord which lead me to the alter and to Jesus Christ. From years of experience I've come to learn that you lead by example. Art Beasley is one of the finest examples of a leader that I have ever had the experience knowing. The unity he brought, not only to Central Baptist, but to the church community as a whole in Winchester is a fine example.I for one hope he will be staying in the area. I will follow him wherever he is preaching, which says a lot about being a leader. I wish Central Baptist well, but I also beleive satan has gotten in the door of the church. Now unfortunately through some of the so called decons and representitives satan will be coming every Sunday through them. (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE)

Art Beasley is one of the best preachers/teachers/leaderss that I have ever had the pleasure to hear. No doubt about it he was done bad. How can you fight for your job when the decons decided to kick him out while he was out of town. Not only out of town but behind his back. I think his package to leave should have been more. After everything he has done for the church, to have so called friends/christians to turn their back on you must be heartbreaking. Now they don't even want him to preach in Winchester because of fear of taking members from CBC. I think that is called a leader. The powers that be will have to live with what they did to a good man and his family. As far as the letter that was sent to my home, it was all about money. Since when did money become more important than winning souls for God? I know personally that the church has money hid throughout many commmitees. Such as the lady that has left CBC ove a quarter of a million dollars. I guess salaries will be going up. what do you say boys? WHERE WAS DENNIS WAINWRIGHT, MICHAEL HOUCHENS AND MATT GURNEY, when Art Beasley, their pastor, was getting the knive stabbed dead center in his back. God help you all.

Guess you'll be just as outraged when the same thing happens at your new church. There's always gonna be unhappy difficult people no matter where you go.

What's so interesting about all this spouting off of injustice when there is written proof of the process. Calling the other ministers into your hatefulness is slanderous, rude and disrespectful.

This is the first time that I have heard that asking someone a question is considered slanderous. I think you need to study your law books better. Written proof or not it could have been handled in a more respectable and considerate way. When did it become ok to stab someone in the back, especially people who profess to be christians and friends. Friends would have warned the pastor what was coming and not let him be blind sided.Oh,by the way I pray to my Jesus everyday and He accepts me just the way I am. Can you say the same.
