. Is the first job you have never had ? Or from reading your other post, are you a manager ? You seem a little too excited about a call center job. If you are loving your job, power to you but a lot of us hired hate the place already and looking elsewhere. I thought training was too much of a pep rally for Amazon and not much about the job itself. I have some friends over at the Huntington call center and they was asking questions that me and my friends here didn't know the answer to and they were amazed that these were things we should have learned weeks ago. I still looking for another job that I can make a career out of. I don't want to spend the rest of my working life answering a phone 8 hours aday.

Yes I do work there but looking for a better job. I guess a lot of us from training class just aren't that excited like you seem to be. It's an okay place to work while looking for a better job but I don't want my next 35 years be answering a phone all day. And with the Internet world changing daily, Amazon won't be around in 10 years.

Right... That google and eBay thing will probably never catch on either. Amazon is a multi billion dollar company. It's not going to just disappear like an old trend. And I would say if anyone is answering phones for 35 years, they must have some serious issues. I mean absolutely no motivation for advancement.

Amazon is an okay company to work for but some employees are going a little overboard telling people about the perks (free lunch, coffee, the snack cart) and not talking about the job itself. The pay is about average I think so we need to quit making people think they can end up making $50,000 plus a year or two from now. I hear constantly all day long people complaining that they left a job they wish they could have back and would have never accepted the Amazon job if they knew exactly what the job involved. I'm going to go ahead and stick it out probably thru the end of the year until I hope to get on at the airport as a baggage handler for one of the airlines which pays more and has better (well cheaper) health insurance and an employee discount for airfare where most roundtrip tickets would cost me $100. I think Amazon could give employees more than a 10 percent discount. You can often find discount codes on the internet that gives anyone more than a 10 percent discount without being an employee.
