well even if the news didnt say it, explosion + criminal investigation + a place like grandview = methlab it wouldnt take a genius to figure that out, especially by the the way it was a forceful explosion hence details were given by a lady whose car was hit by flying debri parked a ways away from there, grandview is all electric too so no reason for a gas explosion. Just look at the facts, listen to the details, and use your noggin. Answer is right there in front of you.

Well I never said it wasnt a meth lab. All I said was the 6 oclock news never said anything about it being one. I have not lived here long and have never lived at grandview so how am I supposed to know whether it is gas or electric.

Well genius Hillcrest is right beside Grandview buit it isnt all electric it is both gas and electric. Most of the apartments that I have looked at in Winchester are gas and electric. I dont know what your problem with me is. All I said was the 6 o'clock news didnt say it was a meth. I dont care if they had an apartment full of the stuff over there. I wish that the police could find everyone that makes the stuff and ship them to some deserted island and let them fend for themselves.

Well I am not ignorant,I know drugs are a big problem here in Winchester. When I saw all the fire trucks at Grandview, the first thing that came to my mind was a meth lab. All I am saying is the news never said it was ameth lab. They just said it was a criminal investigation which could mean numerous things. So no brainer, genius and righto can say whatever you want about me I dont care.

Arson suspected in Grandview Apartments fire

Investigators delivered samples from a weekend apartment fire to the state crime lab today, to determine what helped start the fire early Saturday morning.
Police described the fire as the result of arson, though no suspects have been identified yet.
Firefighters were called out at 4:13 a.m. Saturday after the smoke detectors went off and witnesses saw heavy fire coming from a third-floor apartment. When firefighters arrived, the front door to the apartment was ajar and a bedroom window had been removed, Winchester Police Capt. James Hall said.
The apartment had been vacant for about a month, and there were no signs of forced entry, he said.
“I can’t tell you why” the window was missing, Hall said, and it was not found at the scene.
Hall said there were several points of origin for the fire in the apartment, but the most damage was contained to one of the bedrooms. The fire itself was contained to the apartment, though smoke and water affected other apartments on the top floor.
“The room of origin was gutted, and there was smoke damage all over the third floor,” Winchester Fire-EMS Maj. Greg Beam said.
Only one other third-floor apartment was occupied, he said.
An accelerant-detecting K9 unit from Scott County was brought in to assist with the investigation, and alerted on several areas throughout the apartment, Hall said. Samples from those areas were sent to the lab for further analysis.
Hall said no suspects have been identified yet, but investigators are continuing to interview people.
No injuries were reported in the fire.
