I would love to know what these people are thinking, or do they think. This is not a prank to be pulled. If it is a student they are going to spend time in a boys detention center, expulsion from school. Guess they will get some needed time off.

The worst thing is if there ever is, heaven forbid, a real bomb situation it might not be taken as seriously as it should be due to all these hoaxes. It's like the boy who cried wolf. I agree, when they find out who did it they need to make a serious example of them.

I agree. I am surprised it has not started being a copy cat in Randolph County again. What is wrong with these children? Don't they understand the trouble they can get into not inlcuding the panic of parents?

The worst thing is they are not thinking of what this can do to their future. Stupid decisions like these can haunt them the rest of their lives and eliminate opportunities that may have been available to them like scholarships.

I've said this before. What the schools need to do is to start adding days on to the last day of school for every day messed up by a bomb threat. After a couple of extra days have been tacked on, the rest of the kids in school will resent losing some of their summer vacation, and someone will turn them in.

What and be the snitch it will never happen. The only ones it will affect is the kids that actually go to school to get an education.

Kids are snitches. Humans are tattle-tales by nature. The kids of small town Indiana are not as "street-wise" or "cynical" as the kids living in Harlem. They will anonymously tell on each other once they realize that they are the ones paying for threats. It wouldn't take long. Kids tend to jump ship. It's not a bad thing, it's just a reality.

I agree with you, why should everyone be punished? My kid wasn't even at school when it happened he was home sick, and is only a first grader. If you ask me they have to many doors in that school that stay unlocked all day long, where is the safety in that? Whoever done the bomb threat needs to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. I'm sick and tired of worrying about my child when he is at school. A school should be a safe environment for the children and ease the mind of the parents. It's all fun and games to them because they think they'll just get a slap on the hand like the rest of the criminals now days. |

I agree with you. In the WestSide here on the indiana side they don't even evacuate out of the building they send the middle school kids to the high school gym which is just a few feet away from the bathrooms where they find the drawings. Sad situation. we send our kids to school to be safe and are they really?

Obviously, eithere the cops can't catch these kids on their own or the courts don't punish them to the full extent of the law. That's why having the kids make-up the days at the end of the year would work. A while back, once they told the kids at Westside that if they kept losing days to bombthreats, they would start losing vacation days, all of sudden a few kids were pulled out of class, and the constant threats stopped. The kids will tell. They value their vacation days. It's not fair for the other kids to lose out but hey, if the people running the show could find the culprets on their own, we wouldn't have to worry about it at all. If they can catch the threat makers, they need to make an example out of them. That would also send a message. |
